BREAKING: Obama made no phone calls on night of Benghazi attack, White House says
President Obama didn’t make any phone calls the night of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the White House said in a letter to Congress released Thursday.
“During the entire attack, the president of the United States never picked up the phone to put the weight of his office in the mix,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, who had held up Mr. Obama’s defense secretary nominee to force the information to be released.
__________
SEE RELATED: Obama punted to Panetta for U.S. response to Benghazi attack
__________
Mr. Graham said that if Mr. Obama had picked up the phone, at least two of the Americans killed in the attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi might still be alive because he might have been able to push U.S. aid to get to the scene faster.
The White House has said Mr. Obama was kept up to date on the attack by his staff, though after being alerted to the attack in a pre-scheduled afternoon meeting he never spoke again with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin E. Dempsey or then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Mr. Panetta told Congress last week that he knew immediately the attacks were a terrorist assault, though the White House downplayed that notion in the first five days after the attack.

Wow, you're quite the drama queen for someone who's so anti-gay.
Who ever said they wanted to bankrupt the oil & gas companies?
We just expect them to pay their fair share of taxes instead of taking more taxpayer financed welfare.
Well one thing is for sure they pay way more taxes than you do..and they invest way more than you do which helps to strengthen the economy and our country as a whole .

Do you have a problem with strengthening the country and the economy?

How about you go refine your own oil. LOL, good luck with that

And if they pay even more in taxes it will strengthen our country and the economy even more.

Why should I refine my own oil? That's what we pay the oil & gas companies to do.

Why should they pay more? And who's to say how much more? Should they pay a billion more? a trillion more??

Why don't you pay more? How about you pay as much as they do.

Either that or STFU.

I pay a greater percentage of my income in taxes than any oil company does.

For example, Exxon-Mobil payed ZERO federal income taxes in 2009 and only 17% in 2010.

I paid a greater percentage of my income in federal income taxes in both those years.

I'd say they could easily pay a few million more in taxes, considering they're SUPPOSED to be paying a 35% tax rate according to federal law.

Yep, a few more million a piece would be a good start.

I never said I can't do it without them, just that there is no reason to do it.

In addition, they are duly compensated for their work which is why they make hundreds of millions in profits every year.

If I'm expected to refine my own oil, then I'd suggest they should have to grow their own food, slaughter their own chickens, and provide their own healthcare without relying on anyone else.

I can live without oil or gas; can they live without food or healthcare?

So what? Even after spending billions on exploration & drilling, they STILL make hundreds of millions in profits every year.

You DO understand what a PROFIT is, right? That mean they make MORE than they spent, including expenses for exploration & drilling.

And yet they Exxon-Mobil paid ZERO in federal income taxes in '09?

Yep, they can afford to pay the 35% corporate tax rate they're SUPPOSED to be paying, but I'd settle for them just paying the same percentage in taxes as I pay.

I'd settle for some of Obaba's green energy boondoggles to actually succeed too but that ain't happening..... We're up to how many taxpayer funded failures by his political cronies? seven at last count was it? To the tune of how many millions, billions? You're whining about a proven industry/energy source that generates revenue, while ignoring the corruption festering in Obama's speculation with taxpayers $$$ in an industry that produces failures. Somehow I find that typically liberal.

2011, ExxonMobil’s U.S. tax expenses totaled more than $1 billion a month on average. That’s more than $12 billion in U.S. taxes in 2011 at all levels – local, state and federal – and of all types – income taxes, property taxes, sales-based taxes, excise taxes and more.

Much of that profit went into exploration, and their business costs 47 million an hour!! So you can drive your car to your protest meetings..(chuckle)

GE....owned by George Soros...big nobama backer paid NO taxes last year....or the year before..

Get back to us on that one, would you?

Answer the question, genius!! How do ranchers, farmers, chicken growers, etc. grow our food without fuel?? Tractors, trucks, heating, deliveries..........

You said they could do without fuel or healthcare....they've been providing healthcare for their employees for 75 years...long before nobama was "chooming" while in college.

He'll need to check in with his handler to see how to answer this.... Facts confuse them sometimes and they need consultations for new talking points. If he comes back with an insult or tries to change to another company/industry you'll know you've hit a nerve. Libs ALWAYS fall back to Alinsky's three D's when confronted with irrefutable fact.
