GOP betting that its fix for US economy will defy warnings

There are 145 comments on the Daily Journal story from Dec 17, 2017, titled GOP betting that its fix for US economy will defy warnings. In it, Daily Journal reports that:

The tax overhaul of 2017 amounts to a high-stakes gamble by Republicans in Congress: That slashing taxes for corporations and wealthy individuals will accelerate growth and assure greater prosperity for Americans for years to come. A wide range of economists and nonpartisan analysts have warned that the bill will likely escalate federal debt, intensify pressure to cut spending on social programs and further widen America's troubling income inequality.

When the tax reform works, and people have money in their pockets, and there are jobs so we can get the able bodied off the dole, the American people will ignore any politician that doesn't sign onto the bill. President Trump figured this out even before he was elected. If McCain. and Corker want to leave the Senate known as the men who ignore the people, that will be their legacy. They are both about to meet their maker.

Tax cuts during the Kennedy and Reagan administrations, resulted in the federal government collecting more revenue then it did prior to the cuts, because it put millions back to work, instead of collecting off of us, thus more people paying taxes instead of living off of tax dollars. What the democratic congress did with the extra revenue, was spend it. Like small children in a candy store!

Democrats have no clue what Americans want. They don't care either. We want job training for the able bodied, so they can get off the sofa, sober up, and go to work. They need to pay taxes like the rest of us. We need free birth control for the women sober enough to remember to use it. We are entering the 5th generation of welfare in some of these families. Enough already.

Oh they know what America wants, but it's not what they want. America wants to be free, have good jobs and provide for their families. Liberals want work farms and slave labor while the elites have mansions on the ocean coast. The liberal snowflakes haven't figured out by looking at Russia, Cuba and N. Korea that they will be joining the work camps. They are too stupid to know what useless idiots are that Lenin called them, Garber called them and Obama called them.

Reagan trickle down economics didn’t work.

The Kansas austerity measures didn’t work.

Big business owners were asked if they would hire more people with their tax benefits, about half said “no”.

History appears to be perched to repeat itself.

2017 Lie of the Year: Russian election interference is a 'made-up story'

A mountain of evidence points to a single fact: Russia meddled in the U.S. presidential election of 2016.

In both classified and public reports, U.S. intelligence agencies have said Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered actions to interfere with the election.

Those actions included the cyber-theft of private data, the placement of propaganda against particular candidates, and an overall effort to undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process.

Reagan? that is bullchit. You're lying Ms. Piggy

Produce Reagan's GDP and unemployment rates.

Reagan never achieved the Jimmy Carter expanding economy GDP or job creation amd unemployment rare.

There is not one Republican since Nixon that saw the job creation and GDP growth that Jimmy Carter did.

Good jobs have been available going on 7 years.

Chances are good if you are complaining about jobs and wages you aren't qualified or have work experience for a great paying job during the Obama administration or now with the Buffoon in the oval office.

You've been whining about no job for all 8 years of the Obama administration.

You must be dumb as hell and not able to retain information to help you obtain education to secure good employment

Yes it did and your continued lie will not change it. It worked for Kennedy, Reagan and Bush........Obama screwed the pooch by trying the opposite of what smart Presidents did to build the economy. Everything in the world works on Supply Side Economics moron, or trickle down. You can't spend and tax yourself into anything but poverty........or trickle up poverty as it is called.

Kennedy's tax cuts weren't nothing like the draconian trickle down Republican tax cuts.

Reagan?
Thats a lie. And was not taken from any federal financial reports.

ROFL

Stop lying......ROFL

Reagan tripled the Debt from $880 billion dollars to $2.9 Trillion. Bush from $5.8 Trillion dollars to $12.0 Trillion dollars, neither counting the cost of their draconian tax cuts that were realized following their presidencies.

Reagan and every Republican after their tax cuts eviscerated tax revenues.
