Trump apologises to Kavanaugh during swearing-in ceremony

There are 183 comments on the Hampshire Chronicle story from Oct 9, 2018, titled Trump apologises to Kavanaugh during swearing-in ceremony. In it, Hampshire Chronicle reports that:

US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh has been sworn in at a White House ceremony, but not before President Donald Trump criticised Mr Kavanaugh's opponents for a "campaign of personal destruction". In a ceremony that could have been a unifying moment for the nation, Mr Trump instead delivered remarks that even he acknowledged began "differently than perhaps any other event of such magnitude".

Justice Kavanaugh was the victim of the dumbest, most visible political scam ever perpetrated in American history. Thankfully it fell flat when the alleged victim told too many stories, and read from a prepared statement. Now her lawyer needs a lawyer.

Senate Republicans abdicated their duty to oversee nominations by refusing to call the only witness to Ford’s allegations, Kavanaugh’s classmate Mark Judge, to testify publicly. Kanvanaugh was nominated by a candidate who lost the popular vote by 3 million votes. The 49 senators who voted NO represent 182 million Americans. The 51 senators who voted YES represent 143 million Americans. Is our political system run by the mafia? There’s no better face for an increasingly radical and anti-democratic Supreme Court than the ruddy, yelling visage of the sexual predator, Kavanaugh.

Reality Check for those outraged winger morons:
“Innocent until proven guilty.” Unless you’re Hillary and should be locked up.“Meritless smearing of a good man.” Unless your name is Obama and must prove birthplace.“Not normal process.” Unless your name is Garland and you get no process at all. And so goes the Republican mafia.

Why don't depraved and disgustingly deviant freaks look at the facts?

Certainly the most glaring problem with the Ford testimonies is her changing claims about the time and her age when the asserted assault took place. She said to her psychological counselor in 2012, that she was in her late teens and the attack was by four boys in the mid-1980s. After visiting the Democrat former FBI operative in Delaware and the writing of her letter, in order to work Kavanaugh into that scenario, she had to change her claims to it being one boy and the attack occurring in 1982, when she was 15. This remarkable change had to occur, because Kavanaugh was no longer in Maryland in the mid-1980s, when she was in her late teens.

That is the main lie. She also lied about the second front door. She also lied about her knowledge of lie detector tests. She lied about her fear of flying. She lied about having met with anyone to concoct the letter to her Rep and Feinstein.

How anyone could consider all those lies and feel that she is credible in any of her claims, especially when she put phenomenal effort into scrubbing all of her social media, online presence and activist involvement with Leftist Democrat organizations and activities, is also remarkable. Everything that has come to light, including her childish act before the Senate Committee, establishes she is either, or both, a pathological liar, or a totally complicit conspirator undermining the Senate and the country. Now, we have a writer for the Colbert show outrageously saying while she and the Democrats failed in their efforts to stop Kavanaugh's appointment, she is happy that they ruined Kavanaugh's life.

It wasn't President Trump's place to apologize. The apology should have come from the demwits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, but they weren't capable. Sen. Fienstien should be CENSURED on the floor of the Senate and referred for investigation to the FBI. Others need to be expelled from the Committee and Shumer name their replacements.

The treatment of Justice Kavanaugh during the Confirmation process proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that democrats are scum......... VILE scum.

Everyone, even Democrat voters, know of the vile attempt to keep Justice Kavanaugh off the S C. Many are crossing over in November to vote Republican, and even more have walked away from the Democrat party forever.

Trump would have won the popular vote except for the land of fruits and nuts(CA)going for the liberal candidate.

Thank God for the electoral college, which spares us from being led by a bunch of brainwashed losers such as yourself.

Try to get your facts straight too. The vote was 50-48.

You consider fair and impartial judges who uphold the US Constitution to be "radical and anti-democratic"??

You should thank them for not acting like YOU!!

You're such a effing loser!

Did you ever notice when the Democrats have nothing to offer voters to get the Electoral College they revert to trying to get rid of it, rather then try to appeal to the voters with political action.

And so goes the Republican mafia. Under cover of The Great Kavanaugh Show, the administration rolled back regulations on bomb trains, offshore drilling, chemical plant safety, mercury emissions, and radiation, while no one was looking. If you need better reasons to "vote against," I'd like to know what they are. The real argument is that many conservatives simply don’t think what he did to Christine Ford is seriously wrong. Kavanaugh's denial follows a pattern we've seen with men in power positions.

The long suffering "Virgin of Georgetown" prep school prevails.

Trump didn't just apologize. He apologized for all Americans to include the creepy porn lawyer, the vocal fry Chrissy Ford, and MSNBC. Thank you Mr. President. Thank you for apologizing to this great man on behalf of me and my fellow Americans at CNN and MSNBC and the Huffington Post.

He didn't need to apologize to me. I have been supporting Judge Kavanaugh ever since I learned he was in that movie Risky Business.

Nice of the president, but the apologies should come from the Democrats.
