Stanford: Cory Booker and the King of Bain
In this Jan. 25, 2011 file photo, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, left, jokes with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie during a news conference at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Christie and Booker are channeling the Seinfeld-Newman rivalry in a video parody that spoofs the mayor's heroics and Christie's vice presidential potential.

Booker and Christie won't be smiling if Christie fails to act on the Prudential scandal. The legal community is starting to make comment on the validity or lack thereof in the snatching up of a quarter of a billion dollars in tax incentive money by Prudential for which they are ineligible to receive but due to extensive lobbying managed to initially receive. Due to the fact that Prudential pulled a bait and switch on the designated property they applied for, Christie has one more shot at rectifying the wrong by vetoing the whole thing. He must do this in the next few days. Failure to do so will likely end Booker's career as the Prudential maneuver will likely result in a tremendous economic slump in Newark and as for Christie, the harm to NJ will be felt everywhere and this type of corruption and cronyism will no longer be tolerated.
