HAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAH!

Real truckers understand that traffic signals turn red.

And you know driving a GE Metro he'd understand that by now.

The only time xxxPinocchio drives a truck is when someone in the section eight housing he lives in needs furniture moved and he breaks out the hand truck he stole from U-Haul and picks up some cigarette money pushing chest of drawers down the halls.

Then don't pass if you can't clear the lane in a reasonable amount of time.

We don't. At times it takes a mile or so before you can get around the truck you are trying to pass and have no idea if there is going to be an upgrade or not unless you are very familiar with the area. When we try to pass cars, they are oblivious to WTF they are doing and speed up so we can't get past them. They don't monitor their speedometer to maintain a steady speed nor do they know how to use the cruise control on their car.

Many companies and individuals are turning to leasing tractors instead of buying them such as what our company is doing. When you lease a tractor, they are usually governed so it can't go past a certain speed. We get ours from Penske and those are governed at 70 mph.

Bull, I see it regularly. Truckers too impatient to wait for clear traffic in both directions pull halfway out and sit there blocking one direction of traffic waiting for the other to clear.
An extremely dangerous maneuver, especially at night......
So do you mean blocking the cross traffic or blocking a lane next to them?

If you are talking about blocking a cross section, that's what you're supposed to do, especially if the traffic signal has no arrow. We can't sit there all day and wait for a large opening from the traffic coming towards us. If you were behind a truck that did that, you would be pretty pizzed sitting there waiting until the truck got a break.

You get most of the way under the stop light in the event you do get a large enough break to make the turn. If you don't have that opportunity, you wait until the light turns yellow or red and make the turn.

I see it all the time.

The governor think is also a weak excuse. If you can't pick up the speed necessary to pass, don't pass.

Especially on an upgrade.

Cars speed up because they don't want to be stuck behind an inconsiderate truck driver for the next 5 miles while he elephant races.........

I am talking about trucks trying to turn left onto the highway with no light from a stop sign from a local truck stop.

They routinely block the traffic coming from the left because they are too impatient and inconsiderate to wait for a proper opening.

Last time xxxPinocchio was in a truck: Police was hauling his azz in for drunk and disorderly. They called in the wagon because they knew he would be vomiting in the back seat of their car.

You have to understand that there isn't a urban legion that xxxPinocchio hasn't sworn he has personally witnessed.

Like his "witnessing" of truckers (meaning more than once) driving a truck across three lanes of freeway who lost control of their rigs because they couldn't read English.

You have to take this nugget as proof that he lies about everything he says.

You will never have safe roads as long as the vast amount of auto drivers are not held to a higher standard.

All drivers regardless of the vehicle type should only be licensed if they meet the following criteria:

1) severe penalties for operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

2) a physical exam to insure all drivers are healthy.

3 tougher driving test including written and road test.

4) safety inspections for all vehicles.

5) severe penalties for bad driving behavior.

You want safe roads?, then let's get serious.

Such restrictions would take out 80% of the drivers on the road today.

Driving is our main source of transportation. You almost can't live without driving. You can't make regulations so stringent that most people would not be able to comply. What you can do however is make regulations on how motorists drive around trucks. To my knowledge, there are no such regulations today.

We are humans and as such, make mistakes. Liberals think they can legislate humans not making mistakes. Logical people understand this is not possible, but most liberals are not logical.

This year thousands of people on the road will die like every year before it. Also dozens if not hundreds of people will drown this summer in pools, lakes and oceans. There are only so many laws you can make to prevent these accidents.

Liberals also know the difference between a mistake and driving while drunk as you were isn't a mistake, and if truck drivers are falling asleep while they are driving (as they are, as indicated by the posted poll) then liberals want to resolve the problem of 4 to 5,000 people killed by putting limitations on how many hours truck drivers can go without sleep, e.g., eleven hours or 70 hours of work in a week.
