I knew there was more to this story than the glib Lanny Davis strategy of laugh it off!

Ever since Progressive Democrat Marcy Winograd started a campaign to challenge Harman for her seat in 2010, some subtle changes appeared. Jane became more conciliatory on military affairs and jumped on the Public Option train. But that doesn't describe her core positions, based on years of voting. Now this ethics issue also suggests why she has lowered her hawk profile. Jane holds a key postion in areas of national defense, intelligence and Middle Eastern affairs. Fine with surveillance if it's not her conversations. So much of the USA has been compromised by elected officials with private agendas that it's no wonder we were stuck in meaningless wars for nearly a decade.

Is it such a stretch to actually have a representative who believes that peace is possible in the ME, and that the vast oil and technology resources of CD-36 could play a profitable leading role in a different type of USA.

Peace in the middle east? Not in our life time, I am afraid. I would gladly settle for us out of the middle wast and let these murderous religious fanatics kill each other instead of American troops. I think that is the best we can hope for.

The pro-military, pro-Patriot Act Congresswoman Harman recently became very public about her support for a “robust” public option for healthcare, and about questioning the escalation of the occupation and war on the people of Afghanistan. Representative Harman has slightly shifted leftward since Marcy Winograd came back to challenge her for her seat in 2010. All this while she is being exposed for making deals with pro-Israel AIPAC leaders involved in U.S. intelligence. Her behavior in the latter is said to be investigated in upcoming ethics hearings. It is time to replace Rep. Harman,-also known as a member of the Blue Dogs - with Marcy Winograd, a person who truly cares about the welfare of “we the people”, a person who will reduce dangerous, wasteful military spending and empire-building; who will divert our money here at home to quality jobs, healthcare, education, and rebuilding our economy.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Taurus

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
