As British PM Gordon Browne prepares to ignore the recommendation of his own Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and increase penalties for marijuana, he reveals once again how little he actually knows about the subject:

"I don't think that the previous studies took into account that so much of the cannabis on the streets is now of a lethal quality and we really have got to send out a message to young people -- this is not acceptable," Brown said.[Reuters]

Any way you look at it, this is just a total lie. The word "lethal" as defined by dictionary.com means the following:

–adjective
1. of, pertaining to, or causing death; deadly; fatal: a lethal weapon; a lethal dose.
2. made to cause death: a lethal chamber; a lethal attack.
3. causing great harm or destruction: The disclosures were lethal to his candidacy.

Can you believe this crock of lies?

Are you sure you are not a teenager? The posts I read by your are either spam, or attacks. I believe most of us have stopped even calling Paul supporters "Paulists" or other names, but you cannot using deragatory names for John McCain. Why is that if you are so mature and intelligent?

McLier on Medi Pot. A questioner named Jonathan (I didn’t get his full name) asked,“Should federal law supersede the will of the people in a given state when it comes to medical marijuana?”
McCain started chuckling.“The will of the people, my friend, is that medical marijuana is not something that the quote ‘people’ want,” he responded. FLIP FLIP FLOP FLOP.

Obama on Pot..On July 21, 2007 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire, a GSMM staffer asked Sen. Obama if he would end the raids. Sen. Obama replied: "The Justice Department going after sick individuals using this as a palliative instead of going after serious criminals makes no sense." FLIPING FLIPPING >

LAST MONTH..Barack Obama is not a supporter of medical marijuana. He is a supporter of more RESEARCH to determine if it helps reduce pain.(duh). When a voter asked Obama if he was for the legalization of medical marijuana, Obama said that he wasn't in favor of legalization without scientific evidence and tight controls. FLOP FLOP.

DOCTOR Ron Paul..."Yeah. It's sort of like alcohol. Alcohol's a deadly drug, kills more people than anything else. And today the absurdity on this war on drugs has just been horrible. Now the federal government takes over and overrules states where state laws permit medicinal marijuana 1 for people dying of cancer. The federal government goes in and arrests these people, put them in prison with mandatory sentences. This war on drugs is totally out of control."

GUESS WHEN THAT WAS...1988!!! HE HAS NEVER FLIP FLOPPED ON AN ISSUE..

We get it, he is an MD. Why isn't he practicing, or teaching if he is so good at that too? Seriously, you are downright boring as Hell RPUN. Get a new schtick.

Again, we know he is a Doctor, but why is he not in private practice, or teaching if he is such a good one? Same goes for his being an expert on the Constitution. Why is he not a political scientist then? With this, why is he not supporting NORMAL? They have been around for years advocating this very thing.

He was in private practice, which he left to return to politics.

Listen to himspeak, I believe he is a political scientist.

It is NORML, National Organization for Reformation of Marijuana Laws. I do believe he does support this organization.

You sure have alot of opinions about a man which you obviously do not know much about.

Do you know much about McCain either? Paul is NOT a political scientist though Hadenough. He is an MD, that we know. The man speaks to people that are pissed off, and they agree with him. I have watched him on YouTube, and I don't find him particulary interesting. He is like a college professor that should have retired a few years ago. Not a bad guy, but he and the real world just don't mix too well. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it. We all have them, and at least I don't have to resort to calling him names. Also as I said before, I don't have problems with him as much as I do with some of his followers. That can be read on other posts though.

Lets see, I know that John McCain rides on a big wave that he is a hero, although for the most part, Viet Nam POWs keep quite a distance from him.I have looked at John McCains votes on the issues, I see very different voting results in black and white from official government papers, from what spews from his mouth in election season. I have seen John McCains temper and do not like what I see. I have tried to research some things about John McCain, but after what I already know about the man and the myth, I have a hard time payin attention to the BS. I already know enough that I do not like or trust the man. Never was much for people who lie and speak from both sides of their two faces.

Here is an interesting tidbit from how Europeans "discovered" african slaves and the use of Dagga (herb).

In 1818, the English Explorer, G. Thompson wrote that

the leaves of this plant [hemp] are eagerly sought after by the slaves and Hottentots to smoke, either mixed with tobacco or alone. It possesses much more powerfully stimulating qualities than tobacco, and speedily intoxicates those who smoke it profusely, sometimes rendering them for a time quite mad. This inebriating effect is, in fact, the quality for which these poor creatures prize it.

Despite his disapproval of the drug, Thompson says that the white landowners cultivated cannabis for their servants, even though its intoxicating and deleterious effects WERE NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST of the whites. The reason for this anomaly, explains Thompson, was that the white man used dagga "AS AN INDUCEMENT TO RETAIN the wild Bushmen in their SERVICE whom they have made CAPTIVES at an early age"...History is friggin amazing. They gave them herb to make them slaves..lmfao..guess that didn't work too well.

By the time the white man came to Africa, dagga had become a part of the native's way of life. In the quest for altered consciousness and escape from the humdrum characteristic of nearly all societies, primitive or highly industrialized, Africa had become a country of dagga cultures whereas Europe besot itself in alcohol. Like alcohol, dagga was a relaxant, a social lubricant, an integral part of religious ceremony, and a drug of abuse. Since Europe sat in judgement of Africa alcohol was rarely given a second thought, whereas the natives' use of dagga was considered by many to be morally reprehensible. As long as dagga was taken primarily by the black man, white Africa took little interest, other than amusement.

Good Grief! While I don't approve of ANY use of ANY substance LEGAL OR ILLEGAL (caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions, plants, etc) by minors..I stand by the libertarian philosophy that what you do with your own body is your own business.(ie. 2 consenting adults)
