New Bedford for years had been the proposed site of the Nantucket wind project . When did this all change ?
First there was going to be jobs in Massachusetts for building the foundations for the turbines now they are going to be built in China.
The Quincy Shipyard was considered as another possible site but those plans have been dropped as well!
We'll see Falmouth soon get all the underwwater electric cables as well as a transformer station right down town !
My bet is Quonsett Point ,Rhode Island will be the real location for the turbines .New Bedford after two years doesn't have even one permit to build an ocean wind port .
