That's all true, especially the part about Glendening having screwed up the state long term, but Kratovil won the counties on the shore.

When it comes to the 1st District race, I am surprised the Sun, of all 4th Estate organs, failed to make the point the late R Gov placed his political capital on the line in campaigning vigorously for Harris. That should be the end of Bob as a Statewide candidate, but I doubt either his ego or Kendall will allow him to walk away from public life.

The term is "gerrymandering" which is creating districts with nonsensical borders in order to achieve a party dominance to insure the election of a party member. Democrats are famous for this tactic.

Did you miss the part about Texas redistricting? The first aim of every politician, regardless of party, is to remain in power.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Sagittarius

You'll feel friendly with everyone you meet today, and you might even be lucky financially. Money should be coming in, but going out rather fast as well... Astral influences will keep you on your toes, and will probably make you flirtatious, but they could also make you moody. This makes it tricky for close relationships to run on an even keel. The truth is, perhaps you don't want too much closeness at the moment. Your partner probably knows that you're often like this, by now, anyway.
