The gerrymandering engineers need our help to create districts suitable to their political agenda. If everyone registered as independant or unaffliated than other than voting patterns of the past it will make the gerrymander's work must less predictable. As an independant you may vote in any party's primary merely be requesting their ballot. Finally when you register or even if you already registered don't give them your telephone number or remove it from your voter registration. And remenber if you give money to candidate they must have your name and address so expect tons of comapign solitation mail and lastly don't give them your telephone number!!!!!
Last election cycle I didn't get one call from either party. I really felt so left out. So don't co-operate with the gerrymanders. Just make work a lot harder to make safe districts. Baeeter yet we'd have better candidates if districts were competitive for primary and general election. Happy Voting and Kumbaya!!!!!!!!!!

Gerrymandering is akin to the Gambinos and Luchesse families divvying up turf. Democrats get these safe seats, the GOP gets another few safe seats. A couple are left in an attempt to make the electorate feel as if they actually have a say in who represents them. The best way to fight the tyrany of the two mainstream parties is to register unaffiliated and deny them data upon which they divide up political turf like mafia dons.
