Now ill remind you what WE stand for
A PROGRESSIVE tax on conglomerated wealth(read socialist controls)
CAp and trade and more regulation on piggy polluters like big coal and oil.
we stand for you getting a smaller car
at least for some trips, this will help your gas bill
get the bio diesel like the rest of us!!!!
higher gas prices will get people to go Green, especially once the
products become cheaper, and we need the federal government for that because GM is too stupid to be able to compete in the savy world auto market, especially since it is obviously going green
read...tax incentives....what no tax incentives for average folks, but billions of commoners tax money to billionaires in the Bush tax cuts???
Cash for clunkers with a green twist is what we need.
BUT the rebuttlickinns in congress don't like anything the president does, not because its not their idea
and when he does co-opt their ideas, they walk back from those positions too!! Read: Obamney care(mitt romneys health care bill in 2002 looked alot like the one passed by the dems in 09'!!)
And who is gonna challenge Obama, the great communicator in 12'
let me hear it forks!
I'd love to debate you on why which ever candidate you can imagine will lose on for the GOP.

I can answer (and have already answered) that asinine nonsense, numb nuts. Obviously you have never managed anything and never will. The election is over, but I encourage you to join the Reed campaign for some lessons, lol!

Back to the article --

"Dave Gilliard, a Rocklin-based consultant who is managing Herger's campaign, said he canceled the debate Monday after Reed refused to apologize for spreading rumors that the 12-term Republican may be suffering a mental disease."

Smooth move Reed. Most people already know Mr. Herger's political positions on the big issues, he does not need a debate to explain and expound on them.

All a debate does is give you, Mr. Reed, more face time with significantly larger audience if Herger were to attend. Now you are stuck out in nowheres-ville where your campaign belongs. Of course, if you apologize, like I know you are going to, Herger may or may not change his mind.

This whole situation reminds me of the "If you apologize" scene in "A Fistful Of Dollars", except that Reed will not even get a chance to slap leather.

REED HOISTED BY HIS OWN PETARD! How's that "Wally is mentally ill" tack working for you now, fool? To freakin' funny. What a newbie chump.

Hey pie,
I don't know how old you are or what kinda arguements you have
But they need to be displayed. I avoid simple sending simple responses and I always try to avoid insults without backing it up with an arguement. I don't know you and you don't know me, thats the point, we never will outside this thread. so be nice to people who you don't agree with, scan their brains to learn about how the othet side thinks, but avaoid the insults please, at least without telling me how Useful I am.

To politics

we have a great society built by our fathers and grand fathers and
i'm sure a relative of your is who im thinking of.
it needs money to run and taxes must be collected.
The small govt arguement doesn't wash in so many ways because it is contradictory to other rebuplican and centrist aims.
You cant have little government and spend 5 billion a month for years on end in a far off conquest, while maintaining a tiny gov.
DO you like all your services? The interstate highways?

how about your relatives? any of them enrolled in medicare or recieving social security?
How do you think they would feel about giving these things up?
My grandmother is 95 and worked until she was 77. She collects a decent check because of this
On the other hand my mom who is 74 , took early retirement
and collects much less than half of what my dads mom collects.

So you got part of my great society speech
but you didn't indicate what I should write back?!!!
ps : I hope your not convinced like buster is that the democrats, or anybody but the most fringe of fringe people would want to put anybody in a re-eductaion camp.

two things No republican can deny!!!

that your party split into fragments because of bush, like the dems did in the 80's
and that the numbers don't play for them retaking the whitehouse at this present time.
How many Tea parties are there?
Although I have my reservation about the President,
He is still much more popular than any presidential candidate on the republican side...read my post on the subject of 2012

The majority of minorities are turning their backs on the republicans because of these really scary candidates(and I'm not refering to the presidential hopefuls) I mean, palladino, odonell, miller, rand and angle, some of who just might be the next Jim Demint. I respect that you are a republican for what ever reason, just like I have my experiences to shape who I am.
However, minority voters are quite important, along with the swing vote. No one is getting elected to the whitehouse unless they embrace minoritys. 1070 in AZ is scaring the s*** out of alot of people from SOTB that ive talked to. Its also the causes that
the right wing has taken up, and I mean really fringe people,
But you know how the media blows those things up.
Like that guy who wanted to burn Korans?

Blah, blah, blah
Now THAT is a rant. When did I ever say I was a Republican? The Republican party was creamed in the last election cycle because they became an ineffective, spendthrift, beltway-fat-cat-diseased, Democrat-party-lite and the destruction wrought by Bush by not effectively handling the Iraq war (the surge came way too late).

There were many other factors too and I could go on at length on Republican political and policy blunders, but heck, at this point I am afraid it might be perceived as a rant by complete idiots like Charles Kasey Kitterman.

Needless to say, not in my wildest dreams did I think the Democrat party would so quickly self destruct. WOW!!!!

Can Republicans rise to the occasion and deliver on their conservative appeal or is it the usual posing lip service they are so famous for?

We will see.

P.S. Sorry that you putzes get so mad about it, but Herger has it wrapped up and Reed is going nowhere. Its over. Reed has self destructed.

Hi pie!

Thank you for a more readable and slightly more explainative post as to where you stand politically

first i'm not one of the putzes who gets mad when a republican(clueless as many from his own party think he is) gets reelected
to a red district. I get mad when republicans run smear campaigns on overwhelming foriegn donations! But dems are dirty too
Your right the democratic party doesn't know what the f***
their doing politically. That was the best run presidential campaign in history, supported by the people(the one who vote anywho)financially. so i'm suprised as you are.
I see in your writing the same sceptcism and cynacism I have for the dems. I consider them to have moved signifigantly right after clinton was elected. But hey its anation of large industry as well a small so the government must throw everybody a bone. Obama is a centrist who has signifigantly coopted the center right positions like a Health insurance Mandate, who he got from Mitt Romney, my former gov. The fracturing of the right has led to really strange and entertaining time in American politics. I don't really think that privatizing something as huge as social security is the way to go, look what would have happened to the fund when the meltdown came in sept 08'. These programs are vital to the fabric of our society. You will never stop hearing this arguement either.

As far as REED goes, I phoned one of his people two weeks ago to leave a message to lend my help. MY call was not returned, so they must have thrown in the towel
I hate it when whoever runs for office doesn't go the full 9 yards to sets themselves up for future politicing.
what a cop out!

Here's a question for all you Repugnantcans who deride home and change. Tell us how "Trickledown" is working out as an economic system. While you're at it name the last Republican president to LOWER the federal deficit. Think hard, think all the way back to Richard Nixon's first term. That was before he and his vice president were both pitched back into the gutter where they came from.

According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office in their Historical Data of the Federal Deficit, Carter lowered the deficit by 3.3 %, then the wobble headed terrorist who gave guns to binLaden and Houssein (Reagan) raised the deficit 20.6% in two terms. Along comes the first Bush and raises the deficit 15% in one term before being piched back to his mansion. After all that damage Bill Clinton was only able to lower the deficit 9.7% in two terms. Then comes the despicable SHRUB and devastates the economy by increasing the deficit by 7.1% in his first illigetimate term, and 20% in his second term. Is it any damned wonder President Obama hasn't been able to turn this around in less than two years?

Obama has only managed to save the American automobile industry, keep the banking system from crashing under the weight of their own corruption, and KEPT HIS PROMISE to get some health care reform. If a Republican knew how to keep a promise, then "mark my words" there'd be "no new taxes."

If the radical right wing of American dogmatic iealogues would just step off the "greed is good" gravy train and realize that cultures and civilizations exist for the good of ALL of the people it would be a step in the direction of their Jesus; who incidentally could't get elected to a Republican office if he could hack ALL of the voting machines.
