Wally the Weasel? How colorfully childish and immature. Certainly not comparable to Twain; more like a playground bully. But, like a bully, you (at least your candidate) is going to lose the fight because bullies can't stand it when thier victims fight back.

You shouldn't apologize for your grammar, Jeff. There's actually not that much wrong here except for your typo on "thier." But your logic is pretty faulty. I didn't mention "my" candidate, for instance, but assuming you assumed that Wally "fought back" against his opponent, you'd be wrong since he refused to stand up and debate the guy running against him. But, if you assume that I'm the bully because I criticized my elected representative on his record, then you've got a pretty skewed notion of relative power. I called Wally a weasel because he continually says one thing while doing another, and I gave a list of his votes to make my point. Not one right winger who has rung in here has defended a single one of those votes.
But to say one thing while doing another, as Wally so often does, seems kinda weasel-like to me, but I may be being unfair to weasels. And, incidentally, I didn't compare myself to Twain; you did. Twain did, however, compare politicians of his day to lots of animals--swine and skunks, among others.
So, Jeff, remind me just who the victims of bullying were in my column, and how they fought back. I'd love to get a little more insight into how your brain works.

Sorry, but your assumption is incorrect. I was quite an adult when Brown was governor before, and things were a lot better then than they are now.
Then you have a bad case of C.R.S.

Jeez, you must truly be addled. Rodney King and the south central riots took place more than a decade after Brown left office, when the always divisive Pete Wilson was gov.
But hey, maybe that affair with Linda Ronstadt and the trip to Africa was a visit to Barack at his home in Kenya, where Brown planted the seeds of the LA riots that would take place a decade later. Y'know how sneaky these liberals are, and how they're responsible for everything that goes wrong because, after all, Republicans give us competent managers and great minds like Dubya, who must then go around and clean up all the damage left by the libs.
I'm sorry but I was simply asking a question. I seem to remember that when Jr. was gov. California was in a crisis and he was conveniently elsewhere. I'll check it out and get back to you. Speaking of sneaky liberals,(funny that you'd bring that up right now) did you hear the latest about a CBS affiliate's strategy session without realizing they'd forgotten to hang up their phone? It seems their sneaky liberal plot was to stain the Miller Campaign with a child molester smear. Tsk, tsk, those sneaky liberals. You are so insightful jaime, they can't fool you, no sireee!

So, you use Breitbart as your source, Pub? The guy who edited the Shirley Sherrod video so it said just the opposite of what she was saying? And he's also the guy who gave us those dweeby Acorn tapes that proved to have also been the product of creative editing and fakery. Why would you believe a guy like this? Is it because he provides you with what you want to hear no matter how discredited he's been?
And do you really support a guy like Miller? Incredible.

It was not that long ago that someone like jaime would have been institutionalized.
But due to the mental disorder called liberalism this stupidity called political correctness came about. And fitting for the left, there’s nothing correct about political correctness!
Just plain O’l stupid and immoral.
That’s your “Jaime” liberal!

<quoted text>Read my post, again...my comparison was about Whitman spending her own money vs. the taxpayers financing the pOTUS running around campaigning on the taxpayer dime. You don't think that in this day and age, elections aren't bought? You think that unions aren't pouring money into the campaigns of candidates who will push their agenda,(monies taken in dues from their memberships regardless of what their members want)? Why don't YOU read your own post again...can you spot the HUUUUUUUGE falsehood that you continue to perpetuate? Since when does the American Taxpayer finance campaigns?

Quit trying to pretend you know what you're talking about, Pub. I've said it before and I'll say it again: YOU ARE LOSING IT. YOU AND YOUR POSTS GET HANDLED ON THE DAILY. YOUR ALLY IS BRIAN JONES, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!

Maybe you should pray on it.

If Wally does win, it will have EVERYTHING to do with all of those folks screaming about how we need to "take America back" and "vote everybody out!"...

All the while, oozing with hypocrisy, these very same people will be voting to keep the very same man in the very same office to make the very same mistakes.

Brian is cool, waaay cool compared to you. I wish you were right about the DNC, but you really don't know what you're talking about. This is the second CAMPAIGN trip Air Force One has made to California this election cycle and so far, not one dime has come out of the DNC coffers for the pOTUS' travel.

"Carly Fiorina, one of the Republicans competing to challenge Boxer in the fall, called on the DNC to reimburse taxpayer money spent on travel costs for the president and his staff.

"To fly out here on the taxpayers' dime and not be willing to face the voters of California, I think, is outrageous," she said.

This is the second trip to California in which Obama has taken Air Force One to attend a fundraiser with no official business on his schedule. The other was a trip last fall to San Francisco. A Democratic Party official said "the DNC and the Boxer campaign will pay travel costs as legally required. Obama's fundraising pace has already exceeded that of George W. Bush, who was criticized by Democrats for the amount of time he spent raising money for campaigns." - LOS ANGELES TIMES
