Reed sounds like an inconsiderate douche. So political interactions are now akin to rumor mongering between tween rivals.

Why doesn't he just appologize. Its the right thing to do.

Herger could reschedule the debate for earlier, but why should he? He knows he'll win if there's no debate.

Political interactions have all lately been akin to rumor mongering between rivals. If I decided to vote for the candidate who did NOT sling mud, I wouldn't have anybody left to vote for. The whole shebang is wrong, wrong, wrong.

You never make yourself look better by making someone else look bad.

So, its the Davis liberals that Herger is afraid of?

It isn't because he has nothing new to say, just the same old tired talking points?

'Guess its time to give the keys back to the people who drove us into the ditch in the first place, eh?

A real man would go to the debate and demand an apology in front of god and country. This just smacks of cowardice.

It's par for the course for "loose Cannon" Chuckles the Clown Schaupp to be in the midst of this story.

When would it surprise anyone that Chuckles would make outlandish comments about fellow Republicans??

The only thing that surpises me is that he did not do a joint press release with Nancy Pelosi or her attorney (Oh, that's right Charlie hired the same attorney - so maybe we should say Pelosi hired Chuckles San Francisco attorney).

Typical Schaupp story.

Even in a heavily republican district, surely Reed can manage to put together a campaign platform that doesn't involve slurs of the "Well, I don't know if my opponent has stopped beating his wife..." variety. The democratic party put out a reasonable candidate last time, right? Who did debate Herger, as I recall. Why didn't he run again? Or anyone who could run an honest campaign, rather than Reed?
