I am curious on a couple of things. I have to admit, I don't really have much of an opinion on this.

Why not expand existing I-35 and where necessary due to widening constraints, make an elevated express like in downtown Austin?

I-35 is so congested as is, why the resistance?

Lastly, what in the world are we thinking by having a foreign company own this thing.

I understand it will be built faster if it's a tollway, and I wouldn't mind paying a toll for not having to share the road with as many people.

Gov. Perry has given the contract for the superhwy to a company in Mexico. So, while the drugs fly down the toll road, we pay xtra not only, 1) to build the hwy (2) to police it?(3) to pay for attorney fees for the drug runners (because they have a right to an attorney) 4) WE SEND EVEN MORE MONEY BACK TO MEXICO, AS WE USE OUR OWN HWY,

SPP unholy alliance of foreign consortiums and officials fr several governments, Spanish construction company..which plans to build the hwy adn operate it as a toll road. This is an extention of NAFTA...a handfull of elites bypass national legislatures, ignores OUR Constitution that says ONLY Congress has sole authority to regulate international trade.

Representative virgil Goode of Virginia & Congressman Dr. Ron Paul are aware of this near and present DANGER. I have taken from the article and expressed my own concern,'present DANGER' Contact these people please WORK WITH THOSE WHO KNOW AND WILL WORK TO STOP THE DISMEMBERMENT OF THIS NATION on this issue.

Wake up America! This is a DIRECT attack on American sovereignty! The "One World" globalist agenda seeks to drag our great nation down to their 3rd World standard of living.

Corporations support these policies because they see the dollar signs. They have no interest in protecting this nation.

One more nail in America's coffin.

Let me get this straight, we're going to build a 700 mile long wall along the Mexican border, AND build a "Superhighway" that runs into Mexico at the same time?? Say it ain't so Rick.....say it ain't so!!!!

Yep. we pay for it all, the Mexican construction company, the Mexican company that will control the Tolls. We buy the land. We put Texans out of house and home, to turn over the profits to Mexico. Ahh, and the Drug Runners, Coyotes, and The US Attorney General's office will arrest and jail any Border agents attempting to protect America.

So what are you going to do about it, Texas?

You should be in the streets protesting it. People from their country feel free to protest being Americans here; why not you?

The Trans-Texas Corridor is being overseen by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the contract is owned by the Cintra corporation which in turn is owned by the King of SPAIN Juan Carlos. That is the latest info from .....http://www.infowars.com/a rticles/nwo/nafta_superhighway _rfid_card_for_citizens.htm ,some think this site is hog wash ,but who knows ,we wait and see who is actually awarded the contracts.

What the hell are you even talking about? Just because I don't chain myself to a tree and shout my objections at innocent bystanders through a megaphone doesn't mean that I'm not going to do anything about it. They're going to build a wall to keep illegals from coming into the country and, although it may be a little excessive, I'm in agreement with that. However, if you're going to build a highway that has no checkpoint at the border, doesn't the wall then become an excercise in futility as well as yet another waste of tax dollars? Election day draws ever closer and my vote is going as far away from any candidate that supports this insanity. If you're looking for ostriches, go to the zoo. You have to be smart before you can be a smartass.

Well, when enough people see a highway being built, which itself crosses the southern border of the US into Mexico, then perhaps we might have a valid discussion.

Until that border-crossing highway becomes evident at least in part then any discussion is essentially nothing other than an exercise in mental masturbation and otherwise intellectual perturbation serving no good purpose.
