I think that Virginians need to leave Virgil Goode in the office he has held with such distinction and prestige over the past 6 terms and who has the best interest of the people of the Commonwealth at heart. He has the experience needed in Washington versus a newcomer with no political experience who would most likely be swallowed up by the political life of the Capitol.54

Anyone know how long a recount will take?

It's time for a change across the board. Virgil has become complacent--too comfortable in his position and not keeping up with changing needs.

I have respect for Goode, I thank him for the time he has served, but at this present time I think we need fresh blood in our government, and I support Tom Perriello to continue as the 5th district congressman.

I admire and respect Virgil Goode! In my opinion, he should still be our representative and am hoping the final vote will prove the same!
Every time I (or my family) have called upon Virgil for any type of information or help, he has always been there!

My prayers have been and will be with you with the hopes God continues to bless not only you, but the 5th Congressional District with your representation!

Keep Smiling!

Goode is terribly out of touch with the average people. Out of the 435 members of the House, he ranks #13 in regards to the amount he has invested in the oil industry. When gas prices go up, and oil profits boom, Goode profits. This is a conflict of interest with the American people.
I also don't believe he properly represents the great Thomas Jefferson as congressman of his district, as his bigoted views have been paraded all over national television and the internet. He represents everything that is wrong with Washington.
