How about getting back to Ron Regan politics and get out of nominating country club RINOS.

Jim Gilmore is the poster boy for what is wrong with the Republican Party.

His idea is to lower taxes, increase spending, and borrow lots of money from the kids.

The Virginia GOP's soul IS the country clubs, especially those on the west end of Richmond. The only thingthe Virginia GOP understood about Ronald Reagan was that his coattails helped them win a lot of Congressional seats, thus covering up some serious "connect with the people" issues that are recently coming back to haunt them. If Falwell didn't have scads of money, he and the evqangelicals never would have gotten in the door of the Commonwealth Club. Unfortunately, they also opened the doors so that fringe wackos like Gilmore could get in and make themselves comfortable. Look where it got them.

The GOP is its own worst enemy and has been for many years. First thing they could do to improve their image is to stop running negative ads.'Course the Democrats could take that piece of advice too! There's nothing I hate more than negative ads. Tell me what your plans and thoughts are rather than words taken out of context about your opponent!

Next, the Republicans should become more flexible and take some suggestions from those of us who are a lot less than wealthy. We do come up with some good ideas once in awhile.

Third, both parties need to realize that abortion and same sex marriages are NOT political matters. They are matters related to religion amd should be kept as such. Let the parties involved make their own decisions and settle up with their Maker when the time comes. I am not involved in either of those situations, nor is any member of my family, but the "ruler makers" need to walk a mile in those moccasins before making the decisions for others.

The GOP should collectively blow their brains out.
