The fact that Virgil Goode is calling for a re-count, which will be funded by taxpayers, is reason enough not to want the man in office. His actions are beyond disgraceful and appalling. Taxpayers should not foot the bill for a re-count simply because Mr. Goode cannot accept defeat gracefully. The man needs to pull himself up by his boot straps, give himself a swift kick for being childish, and get on with life. Stop wasting money the commonwealth does not have to begin with!!!!!!

And will your opinion change if he is found to be the victor?

I suppose you have no problem with the same behavior our of a washed-up SNL has been doing the same thing in Minnesota..

Even if Goode is not victorious, I can bet you a million he'll be back after the democrats take this country down the toilet. Remember 1994?

Wow. Good arguement, spiffy.

His accent is the epitome of a Southern VA accent. Don't like it, head north.

You are an idiot. If Periello had lost by 700 very questionable votes, you would be the first in line screaming for a recount. Now go back to your government cubicle.

He has the right to a recount if the results are within the range to call for one. Perriello would have called for a recount also and you know it.

I do agree that Goode has a right to the recount, and i also agree that Perriello would have asked for one, too. This is simple stuff......no need to argue over it.
