Rep. Todd Akin , of the "legitimate vs. illegitimate rape" - comments fame, topped the list but is no longer serving which leaves Scott as the most conservative representatives in the House.

If Austin Scott is so conservative, why did he throw his full support behind a trio of protectionist measures being pushed by the drugstore lobby? I'd like to see if his sponsorship of those bills counted against his "most conservative" rating. Supporting bills that amount to handouts to a specific industry, and would lead to higher drug costs for Americans, certainly doesn't make you conservative, in my opinion.

Brad, you're totally right. Take a look at this bill Austin Scott sponsored: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmacy_Competi... .
I would say sponsorship of that bill alone calls into doubt his conservative credentials. It's a total anti-free market handout to the drugstore lobby.
