If that language makes it into this bill and passes, trust me, the Senate will not pass a bill with similar language......this is nothing more than a dance around anti-discrimination policies and WILL disrupt readiness and troop cohesiveness!!!

Good Job Bigoted Todd Akins!!!

Yup. That stupid sob lost his bid for the senate, so now he has to show his REAL true self AGAIN! Desperate for attention...even if it's negative. That's Todd. Reminds me so much, of some trolls in these threads.

It's just Akin's way of saying goodbye to the gay community and fortunately, elected office. He had to give up his seat for his self-immolating run for the Senate. The chance that any version of this nonsense will be in the final version, absolutely none, but damn if the Republican's aren't going to try anyways.

Well, hopefully you are right......I read an article where Boehner and his clan raised the cap on the DOMA defense budget to $2 million dollars without so much as a vote by anyone........and yet, he talks about this fiscal cliff being the fault of Democrats!!!!

And I will not stop saying that I "admire" this about them *SOLELY* from the perspective that I will (quite literally) t-i-r-e-l-e-s-s-l-y advocate that the pro-gay behave in the same way.

The antigay endlessly and continually take action when they know they have z-e-r-o chance of success (as here) because they are basing their views and actions on what they believe to be *moral imperatives*; I am waiting and waiting endlessly for the day in which the pro-gay begin to behave the same way. You have *literal god-given rights* that the United States currently refuses you; you have *literally every* right to behave in this way and to fight nonstop no matter the chances, no matter what the antigay think.

Practical considerations, of course, can temper this; they do for the antigay, as well. But I see a ferocity to the antigay viewpoints that I will not stop having to sadly admit I don't see in the opposing pro-gay viewpoints. I see determination and unflagging refusal to stand down from the pro-gay, absolutely; I don't see an attitude that *no matter what*, justice is justice and nothing less is acceptable, to the point that even things with *zero* chance of success are fought for on MORAL principle.

I have deeply held beliefs I cannot shake that, because of gay history, gays *really don't* think of themselves quite *that* wholly or highly and it saddens me; I think they should see themselves as phenomenal and fantastic, lol. I'm serious!

Anyway.

The guy is a bag of shit but he's still trying, trying, trying, no matter what.

I *am* heartened by the stubbornness of the legislature in Illinois, incidentally. They refuse to stop trying to pass gay marriage ASAP. THAT'S what I like to see. With zero concern for failure, they will try again and again and again, ad infinitum, nonstop. Bravo to them.

I can't speak for the entire state of Missouri, but I can tell you that many of us, if not the majority, are extremely embarrassed by this man, and will be so happy when he goes crawling off to his cave in the out-lands of Missouri.

They do a lot of stupid and embarrassing things in Jeff City. You and I don't have the time, and I don't have the inclination, to spell them all out.
