I sustained 3rd degree burns on my toes after our Smith & Hawkins fire pot exploded without warning. Target is recalling the fire pots and providing a 100% refund.

It is spark long evenings of conversation between friends and family while it expands their home's recreation space. Firepots make great home decorate accents.

I have had my firepot for years. Common sense really places a key factor here, It is certainly not the manufacturer. I would NEVER let me kid play with it, pour it, or be near it. Plus, just like my lighter fluid on charcol - I would never add more when it is already lit. These firepots are not different!!!!

Janet, I sat with a group of adults last weekend with one of these flaming in the middle of the table. No one touched it, put fuel in it or had to do anything that required Common sense as you put it. The cup shot out of the pot on its own and landed in a dear friends lap. 2nd and 3rd degree burns everywhere as the gel would not go out when it spilled. No one did anything stupid. They ARE dangerous.
