I flush the GOP down my toliet everday so don't think I'm a right winger.

Is it better to have a system that encourages you to be dependent? It's one thing to be disabled an need assistance. it's another to be able bodied and watching a big screen TV in your govt assisted rent apartment watching judge judy with your govt funded cell phone.

i agree with you that there is abuse in the system but i don't find the answer to be to cut off everyone. of course it is hard to investigate, discover and prosecute abuse given that enforcement officers are usually among the first cuts.

Ask someone who receives unemployment what they will do when the checks stop... they will have to get a job! Our Welfare system needs to be reformed not eliminated. There are too many able bodied people not contributing to society but are a burden. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are against helping the sick, elderly, or those that are down troden for a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. We can't possibly take care of teens, 20s, 30's that just don't want to work. There are too many programs out there to help assist those that are trying to find a job and too many advocates.

Yep. These slackers are usually the ones who scream the loudest for benefits. The truly disabled would like to work, but they can't. If we let the slackers starve, we will have more resources to take care of disabled people who have pride and decency.

It's interesting how this comment was judged as SPAM. Maybe, it's because the TRUTH hurts.
