Not only does she promise everything to all she is a tin-eared moron who only votes the Pelosi/Reid agenda. She has absolutely no qualifications to be on this very important panal. She was appointed so special interests would give her cash to use in her Nov. election. She has voted for Tarp, bank bailouts,Goverment Motors,Goverment run health care. She calls herself progressive. I call her a socialist who has helped put our beloved republic 3 trillion in debt. which is unsustainable. She needs to be sent home in Nov

Mary Jo Kilroy is so ill prepared to be in any position of responsibilty.
Every place she has been it is left in shambles. Examples Columbus Public Schools and Franklin County.
Her experience is to waste and spend, tax and kill jobs with the support of unions.
Kilroy follows Pelosi in every issue. She votes like Pelosi tells her to.
Kilroy has held closed townhall meetings with the union thugs letting only her supporters in.
Kilroy does not listen to her district. However, Central Ohio has the power to vote her sorry butt out in November.

The filthy progressives like this one here are never to be trusted. Why only five people meeting? Didn't she have the courage to announce a full bore Town Hall meeting? Count on the progressive filth to claim their new laws will do 'A' to help when in reality they plan for secret language of 'B' to ruin whatever they touch.

And why isn't this filthy progresssive talking about doctors refusing new Medicare patients and the climbing costs of individual health insurance. Filthy, stinking progressives.

The Ohio Bankers League and Steve Stivers, a former bank lobbyist, want to protect the bank profits and their bonuses. Why do you think that bankers, bank lobbyists, bank PACs, financial companies, and insurance companies all want Stivers to win election? He'll protect them and their profits.

Why is it, every picture I see of a liberal democrat politician, they have a sneering condescending look on their face. Like they are looking down their nose at you. And often it's accompanied by a lecturing finger pointing. Like a parent scolding a child. They think they know what's best, and we should dutifully fall in line.

Wonderful...if the banks can't make a few cents off of the swipe fees - who do you think will be paying the price for it? Yep - all of us with "free" checking can probably kiss it goodbye in the near future since the government is taking away or limiting the ways that the banks can make money.
Just like every other business - banks have to make money (or we can just turn everything over to the government).

This line is misleading... Stivers worked at Bank One and represented the banking industry and peformed duties toward their promotion and marketing.
To paint him as a slimey lobbyist is not an accurate portrait.
Maybe we can paint Kilroy like most democrats that are taxing us to death, destryoing America with socialist programs and taking over private businesses at an alarming rate.
Kilroy on the other hand has consistently been a favor of bank bailouts, tarp, wreckovery funds and any program that spends tax dollars.
Steve Stivers is a respectful man who served our country with the Ohio National Guard and was awarded a bronze star.
He has a sound record at the Ohio Senate, which is more than what Mary Jo Kilroy can say. Stivers will listen to Central Ohio, unlike Kilroy who holds CLOSED townhall meetings or teleconference calls where the constituents of her district cannot express how we feel.
Stivers has a MBA which is critical to tackle issues with the economy and to create real jobs, not the "fake" ones we get from Obama.
Kilroy needs to go, her days are numbered...

I want not more of this liberal Obama, Democrat lemming that hasn't had an original thought since Methuselah was a pup. Out Out damn spot. No more tax and spend Pelosi/Reed puppeteering. This country is going broke and the leftists/socialists don't get it. Maybe they want us to fail as a country and create another social order.

The poor old woman has never run anything other than her mouth and should keep her sorry nose and those of her fellow scoundrels in congress out of it. The merchant's fee is just another cost of doing business. The banks and vendors are both free to negotiate with each other about what the fee shall be. Just a few more months until I will have the privilege to vote to kick her worthless butt to the curb.

More blather from Cap and Trade Kilroy. What she has to say is of no moment. She will be leaving office in January when the voters cap her congressional job and trade her in for Steve Stivers.

The billionaire bankers wish to thank the Fox News crowd here for protecting their profits and insuring that the rich get richer.

"In the United States, wealth is highly concentrated in a relatively few hands. As of 2007, the top 1% of households (the upper class) owned 34.6% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19%(the managerial, professional, and small business stratum) had 50.5%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 85%, leaving only 15% of the wealth for the bottom 80%(wage and salary workers). In terms of financial wealth (total net worth minus the value of one's home), the top 1% of households had an even greater share: 42.7%."

"the wealth distribution became even more concentrated between 1983 and 2004, in good part due to the tax cuts for the wealthy and the defeat of labor unions: Of all the new financial wealth created by the American economy in that 21-year-period, fully 42% of it went to the top 1%."

Steve Stivers and the Republican Party appreciate you bottom 99% fighting so hard for the top 1%.

yakkity, blabbity, blah alah blah...so,,, MJ you're saying you're going to take the bank's hand from business's pocket and put it into ours instead

I am glad Rep Kilroy is there to keep the banks in line. Can you imagine if Stivers - a former bank lobbyist - was the one making this call???

I do not understand all these commenters who say Kilroy should not be involved in this issue. We've all seen what happens when the bankers get their own way and how they run the Republican Party as much as the oil companies do. How can anyone possibly be comfortable with that?

I prefer faith in leaders like Kilroy over the faith of these commenters who apparently believe that these economic elites whose greed and criminality has been so amply demonstrated since George W's take-over should be trusted to operate on their own without regulation. Why isn't the country important to you?

Yeah, and I am sure you and the parasites appreciate the producers (that is tax paying Americas to those who do not understand the term) paying for your sorry butts.
Kilroy is the epitome of a liberal tool of the socialist party. She has been force feed to say and act as Pelosi, Reid and Obama want her to.
Kilroy has NO real positve means to do anything to help the economy, is part of the job killing healthcare reform fiasco and now is further insuring jobs go overseas with cap and tax.
And if you feel that the University of California at Santa Cruz has any real quality information to help me understand the economy, you are off your meds.
UCSC is a liberal breeding ground. These are the same people that without any business experience write their liberal and socialist believes and think that is what America needs.
Sorry, I ain't drinking your Koolaid and Mary Jo Kilroy is gone in Novemeber. She cannot use ACORN and the sweep from the hopey changy guy this time.
From your post I see you believe in redistribution of wealth. How about sending yours around???
