Nothing frustrates Romney. He's a fixer. He can certainly control the likes of Harry Ried. He dealt with much tougher people in real life situations in business. Harry is just an old, tired, beat up politician. He's a piece of cake for Romney.

I agree.
Romney has demonstrated that he can reach across party lines and compromise to achieve real results. Obama, on the other hand, constantly demonstrated a "my way or the highway" mentality. Congress has been a prolme certainly, but the bigger problem has been in the Executive branch. Successful Executives are leaders.

Obama has become more of an idol than a leader. His followers are more interested in image and ideology than progress.

I don't think that Mitt Romney is the kind of guy who walks into the White House with big ideas about redistributing wealth, nationalizing healthcare, banning abortion, or deploying US troops to protect Holy Zion from the armies of the Anti-Christ.
That's a good thing and perhaps the only thing I like about Romney. I think he'll sit in the background and stay focussed on balancing the budget and keeping the trains running on time. No surprises. It's what America needs at right now.

The republicans can thank the religious right if they don't gain the senate. The legitimate rape comments were prompted by strong anti choice statements. Is really ironic when you consider that the issue is settled law under roe v wade and they make no difference. Republicans need to go for the center, leave the women choice issue and quit screwing with the gay people, worry about fiscal conservatism and smaller government instead, they might even get elected then.

Looks like Congress has revealed itself to be just another twisted bureaucracy.
