You would be amazed at the number of people that file for disability, and most only have SLA (Severe Lazy Azs) Syndrome. Disability is for people that can't do ANY work, not those that can no longer do high-paying jobs that they could do when they were younger (long-haul trucking, bricklaying, plumbing).

As this is no longer an industrial state, the numbers of legitimate claims should be about a third of what they actually are. The SLA people are bogging down the system for the people that actually can't work.

That's good advice George, however some of us aren't so fortunate even with the assistance of a Congress Person. I know, I have CongressLady Mary Jo Kilroy inquiring into my case and nothing has come from it except answers from the BDD that "his case is under appeal and there's a huge backlog".

Thats why I said BEFORE it got denied the first time. Once it gets past, its hard.

I have had a lower spinal fusion which will limit me for the rest of my life and they keep turning me down. Yet i know people who get disability just because they say they are depressed. I dont see how being depressed can keep you from getting a job but they tell me i can do my previous line of work which involves construction and Fire inspection. The last time i talked to them i was in a walker and they told me i could do the fire inspection job in which i climb a ladder onto building roofs all day. Now how can i really climb a ladder with a walker. I'm about to just tell them i am so depressed because i cant do anything. The system in america is really screwed up, the people who are just lazy and have 8 kids can get help but a single man that actually tries to work for a living cant get anything.

Keep your head up! When they brought the extra ALJ's in to handle Ohio cases, things began to move a little faster. My attorney (Phil Fulton Law Firm) won my case for me on Dec 2, 2010 and we had been waiting since March 2, 2009, about a year and a half.

For those who are disabled, you may qualify for a cell phone and 250 minutes at no cost to you.

This program benefits individuals who receive SSI, HEAP, and other assistance programs.

There is no red tape to qualify.

To enroll, go to http://www.humanneedsllc.com/free-cell-phone .

Boy oh boy is this the truth. There is a lady who claims fibromyalgia. Wtf? Sounds to me like she just wants an endless pain pills prescription!

My SsD was immediately approved upon the first hearing. I don't get out of bed most days.

Most people applying are scammers.

too many people are getting these benefits who should not...if your fail at drug rehab you get a check...if you are blue you get a check...it takes money away from legitimately disabled people...sick.
it should not be an EASY process...
Careful Ohio, Drug addicts are mentally ill. It is a unstable chemical imbalance and chamber shifts of the brain with erratic activity.

Very hard to work with Tommy Lee, clean your own room you rude jerk, I don't have to change sheets, when you see me you address me like Queen you pathetic pot head. IM HEAD INJURY I dont give a f who you think you are Ill quit and get a partime job elsewhere while on SSI Aszhole I date a head injury WWF from Wisconsin my own age not you old drug addcit ol shrivel ball man

Back to topic I have numerous head injuries, Severe truamatic Brain injury, my main artery was removed for malpractice purposes, I have tendanitus in my right thumb, my left wrist broken, my neck and spine await surgery and collar bone. Busted up inside.

I waited years for SSI They refused to pay FEDERAL mandated SSI AND SSDI and said I make to much with SSI to qualify for SSDI So refused my payout.

Attorney got $6000 plus for doing nothing but putting Doctors referrals in a folder with sectioners. All he had was what I gave and refused to research SUREGON GENERAL FILE TRASNFERS of each state, he had no clue I was head injury that is life illness that I could go in a coma off a song, movie or conversation and just winged it like I was faking and refused to give me my file and said youll have to work eventually so when you feel better lets stop playing and get back to work.

To make matters worse, table talk is a new owner of SSDI AND SSI have encountered. By law they do not have to honor old owners rules and stipulations, all they are accoutnable for is to return your own payment and a reasonable interest.

If you want the money promised on the agreement you have to find the old owner to have extended match pay allocated to your accoutn and sue him solo.

Same with 401K table talk. Old business owners did not honor the allocation match and Government apparently backed out of the 1/4 match suplity.

So that should be on table for a while, but the back out was because of a boomer assigned scandel and they were not to enact until the last babyboomer dies, but decided to go forward in their lifetime so Xer and thereafter can create a backup system.
