"Today he is going to prove to all the naysayers and to all those who campaigned against him that said that he doesn't like guns. He is going to show them that they weren't right," said Representative Danny Bubp.

Bubp said that now the gun lobby will push for further rights.

"I would like to see firearms carried by legislators and other conceal permit holders right here at the statehouse," Bubp said.
----------
I'm Ok with guns - whatever. However, Bubp is an oaf - what about the economy? Lazy, grandstanding ... surely we can elect better than that?

It is funny the Governor keeps saying the state is broke and SB5 must be passed to balance the budget yet his budget is $5 billion more than last years and it also includes tax cuts for the wealthy and big business. He really lies.

Kasich is kickin a*s and takin' names! Roll on John, roll on.

And he just took over a million names from the public freeloaders this week. Those will be helpful when it comes time for the massive wave of public sector layoffs.(with or without SB5)

Its about time!

p.s. Can you please do something about that buffoon, Mayor Clownman?

Government unions are trying to break the backs, and empty the wallets, of ordinary taxpayers. Kasich is challenging them and for that I applaud his efforts and support his actions. If SB 5 is repealed, government workers will keep their pay, near free health insurance and pensions. This would result in less money going to cities and either more layoffs or tax increases at the local level.

We will see in November if taxpayers want to raise their taxes in the name of "protecting the middle class."

I don't understand why anyone would vote for this budget other then the fact that big money had something to offer them. Lobbyist should not even be allowed to talk to our so called PUBLIC SERVANTS. Money talks and constituents walk. So much for representing the people. Have you looked at the quality of people that we have voted into a position to make these types of decisions for the citizens of Ohio. Money buys you a position, high pay and benifits and wonderful retirement. All you have to do is vote like I tell you.

Typical reporting from the left wing media. Perfect example of Kasich bashing although the clean-up from the former Strickland "Turn Around Ohio" Administration continues. They had us at 8 billion dollars in the red as Ted left office. John is doing what needed done decades ago.

"The big winners of this year's budget were all of the Republican constituencies, ONN's Jim Heath reported."

Is Jim Heath under the delusion that all of the cuts are in predominantly Democrat districts?

The only people helped by this bill are fatcats and bigots. Gun owners are getting a mixed bag, since their local governments and schools are getting razed like everyone else's.

I'm okay with everything, but the clearing the way to drill for oil and natural gas on public lands. If thats not bowing to big business, what is? I thought the whole purpose of public lands was to get away from business and enjoy nature. Guess I was wrong.

We sure need Strickland to set things straight - Obama's twin would give us more of what we currently have - what a relief that would be.
If people don't find the facts, and know right from wrong we will continue to get the shaft.
Believe most unions, believe this administration, they are both false prophets, and we are their slaves.
