I think the people of Monroe defeated SunCoke in court for only $500,000.00 so I don't think it is being built. I would have to check with Lisa, Jean or Chuck to make sure. I think I do recall that Monroe has proudly declared a victory. Unless Monroe is being..."SNOOKERED!"

So, is this coke plant going to stink as bad as the ones in eastern ohio? Please tell me they have found a way to get rid of the stench. If not we'll all be skinny because that smell is enough to make you sick.

Hey peanut, the ones in Middletown stink already and most people in the area are already fat, myself included, so I don't think the smell will bother them. Of course the people of Monroe have their noses stuck up in the air so high that they have to worry about drowning when it rains.....lol!

I just don't get the whole purpose behind building the coke plant here. Let's face it, it will lower property values below what they are now, it will stink. They will probably want to bring back tail pipe testing on our vehicles because of the air quality and the only ones this will benefit will be AK and quite possibly the crooks that run the area. What I'm waiting for is when West Chester and boehner realize that the winds come from the west and north and the odors will hit west chester and THOSE people will have a fit bigger than monroe has had.

Hey Dummy, I'm betting your full name is Crash Test Dummy. I think you've been bumped one too many times. We don't have teeth to have to worry about and if the coke fattens us up we'll survive a famine won't we?

The coke plant.... Where do we begin. It smells awful my house and car are black from all the black stuff... I'm tired of the noise all night ling.... I'm sick of the way they treat people but if u smoke crack...drink ...do drugs and oh yeh mess around with people. U keep ur Jo. It's bad when in the last three years there have been several new presidents a few ne safety guys. And a few hr Guys. I do not beleive that this is right. Maybe an investigation from the higher ups need to happen. U think u are god but guess what u are not and it's time for shit to change.be equal in what u do. Make it fair and stop being such asses because u will meet ur maker

Listen up people.....this coke plant was effectively defeated in court my the city of Monroe. It just took a little over 500,000.00 bucks to limit pollution to almost nothing. So what you are fearing is not going to happen. As Lisa, Chuck, Jean and Bob.....they will tell you that the 500,000.00 was money well spent. I just hope we didn't get "Snookered"...and we find out that Bob ends up working at the new SunCoke like he has done in the past. Knowing the dangers of a coke plant and still working there for decades and even to continue to work there for "scab" dollars is reprehensible....I hope he doesn't turn on us and repeat his past.
