Where ever there is a trouble spot in the world, be it Israel and Palestine, India and Pakistan, Iraq, Kuwait you will always find the fingerprints of the British empire. One thing that is true, Israel forcibly removed many palestinians from the land in 1948, without compensation. Some would call your home being taken stealing.
I am neither advocating nor condemning the action. I was merely correcting a previous poster who incorrectly believed that it was the United States that helped create Israel.

You were correct also, sad isn't it that this has gone on for so long over there. I wonder if the only solution at this point will be the utter destruction of one side or the other with so much hate through the generations. It's not promising is it.

Nice JEW site you got your lies from.......Now go out and see if your pea brain can find the TRUTH........
Actually, the site is not a Jewish site-the facts about British involvement is correct, as is the facts about the LON/UN in it's mandate. There were other territorial matters in the Middle East that came out of the Balfour plan that have created problems. Iraq under Saddam went to war with the UN over it's invasion of Kuwait-the Iraqi claim being Kuwait was a former province territory ceded to the Sabah family by the British. The Persian Gulf region is full of these territory claims/problems.

If you want the US to stay out of it, desolve the UN and NATO. Are you factually sure this dissolution is doable?

If you think terror cells are not living here already, you are naive. About 30 plots have been foiled in this country MOSTLY plotted by US citizens. Keep those blinders on!! We have more enemies then UBL. I will give Obama credit for giving the GO to get him. But HE needs to give credit to the last president for setting the stage for the operation.

The Torah was written about 1400 BC, and cites Jews in Israel, with descriptions of landmarks that exist today
The first books of the Bible were written about 50 AD, and cite Jews in Israel, with descriptions of landmarks that still exist
The koran was written about 610 AD, and cites Jews in Israel
Various other ancient texts cite the same
Jewish artifacts have been found in Israel and have been carbon dated to about 1500 years ago (500 AD)
Palestine is an artificial construct of the 19th Century
Even as late as the early 20th Century, the lands of Israel was desolate and mostly deserted, until more Jews purchased the land from Arabs.
But Israel doesn't belong where it is or have a right to exist?
Try pulling your head out of the Russian written "Protocols" (anti-Semitic propaganda) and reading some actual History
And where do you think the Jews, Christians and Muslims got their propaganda from? Have you ever heard of Ancient Pagan Mediterranean cultures & beliefs?

Ancient Mediterranean cultures shared standard ideas about Gods and their powers and place in the world & universe. Christianity stole those ideas and applied them to Jesus. Many of the first Christians believed that Christ was a god like man. They told stories about him. Ironically, they even claimed that Jesus did the same miracles as ancient Mediterranean Gods. Hmmmm....???

Worshipping a god like man who brings salvation was also the core of other ancient religions that began at least a thousand years before Jesus. Hmmmm...?

The afterlife, sacrifice, baptism, communion with God via holy meal & wine, holy spirit, human souls, and many many other "Christian" ideas were all STOLEN from older Pagan faiths. There's no doubt that "Christianity" STOLE the ideas from ancient Mediterranean culture. Hmmm...???

The miracle accomplishments of the son of God, born of a mortal woman, they were common elements of pre-Christian Pagan religion. Mithras had 'em. So did Dionysus, Attis, Osiris, and Orpheus. Hmmmm...?

I can go on and on but I feel I made my point that though Islam started a little after Christianity, there was pagan religions that existed long before the two of them that both religions "STOLE" ideas from.

So give up your ploy at trying to claim that Christianity was here first therefore it's better bullcrap.

Look, you cannot blame Bush for it all. When Bush was President we had a democratically run Congress. Yes, some Bush era policies that he sighed into law did get the ball rolling but lets not forget, a democratic congress legislated those failed policies also.

My point here is that when people throw shit at the fan it goes everywhere.

"We the People" are also responsible for allowing our government to incorporate "special interest" policies that make a few rich while leaving the rest of "we the people" in a world of hurt.

Americans are simply not interested in keeping an eagles eye on the government and in failing to do so our government only caters to those who lobby them.

Thus the majority are left in the dark and only come out crying when it effects them. By then it's too late.

GW had help!! Recent history started with Nixon and Carter. More recent was Clinton so that is a matter of opinon. Arguements can be made both ways. What are you going to do? Close the border, I would love that too but you know either party wants to piss off the Latinos. Do we become more of a police state then we are now? If so , they have already won!! We LOST the WILL to fight!!

It was Clinton that started this whole mess. Overall, I liked Clinton. However, had he not insisted everyone should own a home and forced loans to be given to people who should NEVER have qualified, we would never have had the foreclosure crisis, which started the whole downturn of the economy.

Quote:
Add President Clinton to the long list of people who deserve a share of the blame for the housing bubble and bust. A recently re-exposed document shows that his administration went to ridiculous lengths to increase the national homeownership rate. It promoted paper-thin downpayments and pushed for ways to get lenders to give mortgage loans to first-time buyers with shaky financing and incomes. Itís clear now that the erosion of lending standards pushed prices up by increasing demand, and later led to waves of defaults by people who never should have bought a home in the first place.
