It appears that these Democrats are as careless tracking what happens with their own money, as they are tracking what happens to the American taxpayers money. And now they want special treatment to rebuild their war chests! They know they are in big trouble come 2012 and they are in a full fledged panic....I love it...LMAO!!!

Individual contribution limits should not be lifted because of this incident. The law is the law. The few democrats who lost their reelection stash are just out of luck.

OMG! Are you suggesting that they actually follow the law? Be accountable for their own finances? Maybe even have to BUDGET their money until the matter is resolved?

The dickens you say!

LOL

(P.S. I agree completely!)

Woof, Ross, I agree, these candidates had the money and what they did with it was up to them. They have no logical case. However, they are Democrats, and the "watchdog agency" includes Democrats, so you can bet logic doesn't matter. These candidates will get their way in California. My bet is after they are granted a waiver, and get double the money, they will miraculously FIND the embezzled money and will keep it. These are Democrats after all.

Technically they did in fact find the embezzled money, by virtue of the fact that they found the embezzler. That would be the person who should now be able to account for the money, right? If the thief then spent the money, does the thief have assets to sell to recover? Would that not be the LEGAL route to take in order to recover their stolen funds?

But yes, I hear ya. The Democrats don't want to go that route and would rather break or bend the laws and ignore holding the actual thief accountable by ignoring the obvious, and trying to get even more money to mishandle and not account for.

The people of CA lost control long ago. They may have to wait and buy it back from China, as long as it doesn't become a bidding war with V Puten.
