Good for them. All Americans should be taking this fight to court, not just the students. We should also be taking to court all of the other injustices American citizens have had to endure supporting these low life illegals.

I still do not understand how a person who is not a resident of the United States can be classified as a resident of a state. The federal government is the only entity that can grant residency so why are states allowed to illegally grant residency to those who are not legal residents of the United States? Legal immigrants who enter on a student visa are not allowed a resident discount but those who come here illegally are. Again those that are honest are penelized and those that break the law are rewarded.

Children of undocumented workers should be given free tuition because we don't make much money.

Illegal aliens deserve nothing whether or not they have $$ or not with the exception of swift deportation at their own expense. They came with nothing they can leave with nothing. Everything else is ill gotten gains and should be sold as restitution to the American taxpayer!

Why do illegal aliens and their children take precedence over everyone?!!!

I would like for our military to get in state tuition throughout the US! That to me is more of a priority than illegal aliens and their off spring!

As far as the illegal alien child who had to get a job waitressing instead of attending college because they charged her out of state tuition, I have a friend who's daughter (US citizen) couldn't go to college this year because of $$$. She now works at a 24 hour drug store from 6am to 2pm! So the illegal aliens child thinks she shouldn't have to do this? Soooo entitled. I will be glad when this mess is over!

P.S., This college thing will all become a BIG joke! First of all, anyone who attends college on financial aid will find that they will be in a mountain of debt when they graduate. Not only that, they won't find a job to pay enough to meet the monthly loan payments and eat and live! But don't tell them that, they think they are going to set the world on fire! NOT!

Mexicans, like blacks deserve the extra help and assistance in getting into college. We've been held back for many many years.

It's time we move to the front of the line.

ALL EDUCATED PEOPLE ARE GOOD.

Where you were when you were 3 has nothing to do with weather or not you should have access to an education you can afford.

Stop winning about immigrants.

Get a clue, no one is whining about legal immigrants. We all just want our immigration laws enforced and ALL illegal aliens out of the country. They are here ILLEGALLY, comprende?

Don't tie black Americans with children of illegal aliens. These students would be fine if they didn't have illegal parents.

"Five students, all born in the U.S. to illegal immigrant parents, sued the state last month for denying them in-state tuition rates even though they'd lived in Florida, graduated from state high schools and were entering state colleges and universities. They claim the higher out-of-state rates they were charged either forced them to drop out or take fewer classes, delaying their eventual graduation."

Here's the deal, for in state there are requirements for all students not just US students. Some of the requirements needs certain documentation from the parents. US citizens of illegal parents think being born here whitewashes their parents of their sins, it does not. They are going to court to have Florida to set aside their rules because they have illegal alien parents.

Florida Residency Requirements for Tuition Purposes

"Major areas of consideration that university staff review when determining residency include, but are not limited to, the following:

Is the student a dependent or independent student? Dependent or independent status will be based on a copy of a student's or his/her parent's or legal guardian's most recent tax return and/or other documentation as appropriate.

Has the student (or the student's parent or legal guardian if the student is considered dependent) established legal ties to Florida? University personnel reviewing a student's application for residency purposes will require various forms of documentation to verify legal ties and timelines. A student and his/her parent or legal guardian may be asked to provide copies of driver's licenses or State of Florida Identification Card, voter registration, proof of purchase of permanent home or full-time Florida employment, Florida vehicle registration, or other form of documentation."

Illegal aliens parents must show documentation. They have no federal income tax returns because they are using ITIN numbers or working under stolen SS numbers.
