If Perriello votes for this piece of trash he may as well resign instead of getting trounced in November. Either way Perriello is done because he's been nothing but a Pelosi rubber stamp vote since being elected.

why dont the law makers understand that they are people in the country who do not nor can afford to have the insurance they need. i was maded to retire from the state and was left with a little money and no insurance i have COPD and Other help problem whereas i need to be under a doctor care but with the so called law makers wanting not to stop the health bill but just to give the president a hard way to go and to make the poor or persons who cannot afford insurance suffer. They need to stop see if it works. i know by experience the state can do what they want and put hardships on their employee. heck if they want to do something they write the policy one day and cut people jobs the next i know i been there and done that. why not the goverment.

Just ask yourself, what government program has ever been efficent or not a total disaster? This is wrong folks. Do not support bigger federal government involvement in personal things such as our health.

Bobby Scott and Tom Periello are slimply being dragged by the nose by the leadership in the house.
Virginia is a extremely conservitive state. It looks like those two are ignoring their folks and towing the line for Mrs Pelosi. Why arn't they listening?

Might as well...seems like thats where the dems like all of our jobs to go anyways. Things will continue to drip until you fix the problem, not just put a band-aid over it and hope it will work.

Just look at the Postal Service...

They are posting losses like crazy. Now look at UPS and Fedex...hhmmmm...somethings wrong with this picture. USPS net loss of 3.8 billion and UPS had a net income of 2.2 billion for 2009. Why would health care be any different than a money pit like the Postal Service?!

This bill ensures that insurance companies can't drop you if you get sick; can't deny you coverage for pre-existing conditions; can't hold monopolies in areas like they do now; closes the donut hole in Medicare Part D; eliminates the completely wasteful Medicare Advantage, which was just a giveaway to Republican cronies; and means that healthcare won't be completely unaffordable to regular people if they lose their jobs. Of *course* insurance companies and their Republican minions don't like it -- but everybody else should ignore their hype and fear because it benefits the rest of the country.

Now I know why I moved OUT of Bobby Scott's district and into Eric Cantor's. I wanted to have a Congressional leader who knew what he was talking about and would listen to the people he serves.
I'm surprised that Bobby Scott's nose isn't sticking out so far that he doesn't trip over it with all the lies and BS he is spewing out trying to convince people that this Health Care bill is "Right" for America. It's time for the individuals in Mr. Scott's district to see him for the Liberal lapdog he is and vote him OUT!
Use your common sense folks, this bill is the worst possible choice for America. Vote it in and you are DOOMING our health care system to total bankruptcy and failure...

The only person who is hyping anything is Barack Obama. He is nothing but hype and no substance. He is misleading the American people into believing that he is doing what is "right" and "best" for the country. He is a liar, a socialist and a dictator wanna be...My suggestion to those who crave gov't controlled health care so much, pack up and move to Canada, Cuba or the UK and get a real taste of what it is like. I'm quite certain you'll be begging to get back to a free enterprise health care system like ours within six months...

President Obama is making reforms that are badly needed. To say that he's a dictator wannabe is patently absurd, as no dictator would spend a year and risk his political future trying to wrangle his flagship legislation through Congress. But tell me -- what do you find so offensive about the current bill? If your objections to HCR are as unfounded as your comments about our democratically elected president, I'm betting you'll end up liking this once it's enacted.

Where were you bums perched when all of these things was happening right under your noses, under former leaders. Now all of sudden you have a problem with the black guy leading the charge. Hypocrites.
