The senate voted to trash the bill that would have solved the problem .
Walking away from the child in the white house should have occured weeks ago.
49% of the population pay ZERO federal income tax.
Tax them 30%, like the rest of us
Why do you think most people pay no federal taxes? A handful of them, the richest, are able to game the system to the degree of wildly profiting while enjoying their liberation from "the burdens of taxation." The overwhelming majority no longer get paid enough to owe federal taxes. They are simply too poor, and no longer own property.

I think the problem is that the Republican Party leadership today is focused on representing the Tea Party instead of their constituents. The average, working-class American has seen for certain that the Tea Party works against them.
Much better that the Republicans should follow Obama's lead and forget what they were elected to do.

Maybe Obama was being honest, if all you deliver is poverty, war, and big government, that is a change that will bring about even more HOPE.

and the fault lies with whom?

your word majority is the minority

49% is smaller than 51%

how did 51% make enough to pay taxes?

could it be they actually apply themselves?

If you are paying 30% in federal income tax, you need a new tax accountant.
