There is no problem with a balanced budget. It's all the crap the Repubs put in the bill. You know, The little things that will kill Social security and Medicare. The Repubs not wanting to make the rich and the multinational corporations pay their fare share of taxes While all of the burden is put on the backs of what is left of the middle class. It's about the rich using the American infrastructure to gain their wealth but not wanting to pay for it.

The Obama administration has warned that without an increase in the ceiling by Tuesday, the government could default on some of its obligations

The House has produced a bill and it is not their fault that Obama doesn't want to sign on. Obama will not be receiving a bill he wants, he will have to accept whatever bill he receives
What a bunch of crybabies. Obama's response is to set up the class warfare he used in his Community organizer days, it is the only thing he does well, oh and read a teleprompter

Ok, which things are those that Republicans put in the bill? Which ones specifically will kill SS and Medicare? I know it is a liberal talking point, but please educate us and cite the lines in the bills that cut SS and Medicare.

Surely a liberal such as yourself that is so well educated in the bill can cite the ways it will SPECIFICALLY cut SS and Medicare. I am not referring to the over $1 trillion cuts Obama made to medicare in his Obamacare bill, no, I am talking about you listing the specifics on how Republicans are planning on killing SS and Medicare, as you say.

Consider this.... a challenge, given to you., by me.

Can you do it?

All this hype over something that should be easy to pass. Put the Balanced Budget Amendment in there as well as some cuts and finally letsí do some freezes also on cretin benefits who cares. It will not matter the next time congress (both houses) is controlled by the Socialist not democrats or republicans. They will repeal any law that is in place that they disagree with. People who are getting social security checks will still get them; this is a separate tax from different source. If you do not receive a check then fraud has been committed against the elderly and disabled. And that would be a democrat problem they would have to face. The sad part about all of this is the Socialist are not working with the Democrats and Republicans. I will also clarify some thing also the Republican Party is not fractured they have the tea party who are moderate democrats, republicans and a lot of independents who never declared. The Democratic Party is the everyday American worker and the Socialist Elite, now this party may be fractured. Why do you think so many Democrats lost in the last election? Regardless of how this turns out more Tea Party people will be elected next time but a few bad tea party people will be voted out. This is called life live with it.

It sounds good but I think it would be playing into Obama's hand of fundemental transformation.
