He beat a weak Dem in the Reps best year. No way he'll compete against Sen Brown. This will be a huge loss for Reps.

Brown is a socialist? Mandel is a bigot? Okay, now that labels have been established let's get real. Conservative Mandel is collecting government pay so he can run for another government office. He has no chance but he's about to waste a lot of our taxdollars.

All you weathly people will need to send your money to King B. Hussein so that he and Sherrod Brown can redistribute it.
What you have worked for is now all part of the grand plan that the liberals and socialists who have hijacked the democratic party. Remember they keep saying wealthy must pay more, shared sacrifices and redistribute the wealth.
Brown has the most liberal and socialistic agenda of any Senator in America. Wise up America, this clown must go in 2012. Anyone but Brown!

This dude runs for one thing so he can run for another thing. Isn't he the one who ran the racist ads in the last election? Naked ambition here...

I agree - Brown has to be the most secure democrat in the Senate ... anywhere in the USA. Mandel is just running to keep his name out there and lay the groundwork to run for the Senate again in the future.

Mandel is slimy enough to make a run at a senate seat. Let's face it, many of his ilk are attaining political positions. Unfortunately, being a total creep does not preclude one from getting elected in Ohio. Just look at the governor.

Gee - can you really believe any politician when they talk ??? He pledged to fulfill his obligation, now he's looking for another job. He's only been in office for 6 months. If persons are elected to public office, they should be required to fulfill their full term, and not start looking for another job shortly after.

Not taking sides here, but clearly the electorate is swinging to the left right now. Kasich's cuts scared a lot of people, and the harsh language and contempt he has for working people has hurt the GOP cause. If anything, I would say Brown's position is only strengthening going forward. Practical politics, my friend.

Actually, I think Mandel is in a class by himself. Consider the ads he ran in the last election - none of the politicians you mentioned would have ever plumbed those depths.
