Welfare! Welfare! and more Welfare! Whether it is corporate welfare or individual welfare it is all funded by your tax dollars. One of the largest problems this country has is people and corporations unable to pull their own weight. Shrink government to 1/4 its size and cut out all the free money to individual and corporate deadbeats and this country will be rid of its economic problems.

It would be nice if everyone at these boards was mentally competent and knew how to discuss issues intelligently.

Let me repeat: Hey Vain Jones here again. What we're demanding is that prison labor be used on this project. we demand they get paid $65/hr for felons and $35/hr for misdemeanor offendors. Then we'll riot and strike and demand release with reparations, confiscation of law abiding people's homes and free gas and laws granting us exemptions for driving un-insured. Read more in my jailhouse manifesto, STORM. And oh yeah, "Give them the wealth! Give them the wealth!"

What is there to discuss? The gist of the article is a private company is waiting for a government handout.

Why can't they get a loan from a bank, like every other business? Government should not be involved in giving private industry loans. If the plant is not profitable, it should not be built. Perhaps banks are WISE not to lend money to a venture doomed to financial failure!

It's hard for a government pushing a "green" agenda to say no to a "green" business venture.

Wow! Most everyone talking about everthing but the substance of the article. Quite aside from the question of whether the government should be loaning money to business, is the question of whether this administration finds it more important to get Senator Brown re-elected,or to punish Ohio for having a Republican government. Every other consideration is irrelevant to them.
