Thank you Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee! Thanks for wasting taxpayers time and money on non-government business. Seems like you'd fit right in with the Chicago city council. For once I agree with Pelosi. How about working on some real issues for once?

Thank you, Nancy, for showing good judgment and expressing the opinion of the majority of level-headed Americans who are tired of the mindless adulation of this freak!!!

Wow this may be the smartest thing I've ever seen Pelosi do. Though I still wish she'd fall off the face of the earth.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat, is proposing the resolution in Jackson's honor..........

You got to be kidding me!!!!!

With all of the troubles in our society and in our government, this is what our government is talking about?????

No wonder we have lost all respect for government officials and politians. This is what are tax dollras are paying for?

I think Sheila Jackson should be voted out ASAP!

This is a disgrace.

This article didn't mention all the "forever, forever, forever" in the resolution (mentioned by the S-T).

I also agree with jeep (except those built by Fiat).

"psahk" is most correct. And I think what is going to happen is that the next time anyone else dies, there had better not be a resolution, non-binding or otherwise.

I guess that eliminates any resolutions for Farrah, Karl or Ed.

They were still bringing it up in the 2008 election that John McCain voted against Martin Luther King Day.
Let's see if Nancy gets the same treatment when she's running for re-election.

I'd rather they spend time on useless grandstanding than addressing the problems this country faces. If you haven't noticed, they tend to make messes and then make them worse by trying to clean them. The best thing congress can do now is bloviate and proclamate. Leave the nation alone.

Not sure if we should applaud Pelosi for finally taking a sensible stance or cry that there is even someone dumber than her in Congress (Rep. Shiela Jackson-Lee)!
