Mike Argento: Todd Platts not an 'aisle hog'?

There are 8 comments on the The York Daily Record story from Jan 30, 2011, titled Mike Argento: Todd Platts not an 'aisle hog'?. In it, The York Daily Record reports that:

Leading up to Tuesday's State of the Union Address, Salon magazine reviewed a decade's worth of such gatherings of our political overlords to report on the phenomenon of congresspeople reserving seats on the aisle so they can greet the president as he enters the House chamber and get a few moments of face time on TV - presumably so their wives can ...

I love the fact that Platts is still in awe of the privilege of sitting in the House listening to the President. We need more like him who are humbled by their experience rather than those who think too much of themselves because they are there.

Mike's article was great, better than usual if that is possible with the help of the person who photoshopped Platts like 5 times. We need more good spirited humour in the paper and Mike is the only one doing the job. Now Platts wants to resurrect his term limit bill. Why not set an example and quit while you are ahead. I agree that term limits are the wave of the future yet as long as these Senators and Congressmen like Platts have treasure chests or run unopposed like Platts, he is just blowing smoke. The campaign war chests are enormous and make it almost impossible for a new face to get in the arena unless someone retires or dies God forbid. The Senate is the most exclusive club in the USA and there are Senators and Congressmen that will never retire. Examples: John McCain,Arizona, Pelosi,Boxer, Harman; all from California. They are addicted to power and yet are causing a gridlock unseen in history. As for Platts and his driving home every day to be with his constiuents I hope you have a chauffer.

After watching the State of the Union address i was surprised for the first time Platts was either not visible or invisible when the cameras were on Obama walking down the aisle coming and going. Reakky there had to be some transmission problems or they wanted to show some other "aisle hog" so Todd missed his chance for the first time ever. Could it be that because the Repubs and Denocrats were sitting mixed up to show what? that Todd got out of the mix??

I loved this article. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed Senator Platts seems to be everywhere President Obama is. I commented to a friend just the other day that he was one of the first people to shake the Presidents' hand on his inauguration day!
Hail to SENATOR PLATTS

And citizens like YOU are allowed to vote; for none other than "SENATOR" Platts! I frickin' completely give up! The writer will NEVER 'catch on' to the above sentence! The only way term limits will work is if they ALL leave at ONCE, and we know that will never, ever happen. Why would THEY even bring up a bill that would cut their own throats? You folks are dreamin'. As it stands, seniority warrants chairmanships, chairmanships warrant 'oodles' of money for the home district. Naturally, folks who will not vote for SENATOR Platts will not understand this theory either. Nevertheless, they are still permitted to vote...duh, "what's he talkin''bout"!!! You folks who believe in Argento's bull$hit also deserve your hero oBOMBo!

Of course citizens like myself are allowed to vote. Many brave men and women have sacrificed much in order for me to do so. I'm not even sure what you're talking about in the rest of this comment. I wasn't saying I had a problem with Senator Platts, I was just commenting on what I've seen...
