So why do Republicans hate art, the elderly and children? Hint: Same reason parents hate their children when they say, "No." We could just leave it at that, but this is too much fun.

No, income tax on millions of dollars of profit were not avoided.
However, property taxes on a multi-million dollar luxury yacht were avoided by registering it in a state that he does not reside in.
Funny how you cRATS are perfectly fine with fellow cRATS evading taxes.
I'm also wondering if any laws were broken? After all, one cannot register a car in a state that one does not reside in.
Unlike a car a yacht can be your residence. I know two different people whose house boats on the St Johns is their residence.

<quoted text>You still have not told me how many people lost their jobs by Kerry registering his yacht it the state it was bought in, berthed in, is being renovated in, and is going to be kept in.
LOL. Jobs? So because no jobs may have been lost, Kerry's tax evasion is okay with you? How....typical.

P.S. There's no telling how many government/public sector jobs have been lost in MA due to Kerry (and no telling how many others) evaded taxes.

Yes, I know a couple of people here that reside on boats as well. The boats aren't berthed in another state though. Berthing a boat in another state, and claiming it as residence could bring up a whole nothing set of questions regarding taxes.

So you think moving a factory from Ohio to New Mexico is the same as moving a factory from Ohio to old Mexico.

<quoted text>So you think it is OK for American companies to close their factories in America, move them to another country, fire thousands of America workers, and not pay any income tax because Robert Redford opposes an eco-village in Sun Valley? Now there is Republican logic if I have ever seen it.
Putting words in again that were never said. No, I don't think it's OK for union greed and socialist politicans to drive our industries out with ultra taxes to pay for their social giveaway programs and union leaders million dollars salaries. Does that anwer your question?? Check out Mr Redfords ranch, he has a small organic compost maker which qualifies him under federal guidelines to recive hugh tax breaks, while he, kerry, Ted Turner and the others scream your crap about the rich needs to pay more taxes.

Most factories that have moved within the US have moved to southern states, especially Texas due to low taxes. DUH!

There is a difference between a residence and a primary residence. Many people live up north and keep their boats in Florida and/or have a second house here. There are a large number of people who use their boat as their winter home. Keryy happens to have residences all over the country. The fact is that Kerry bought the yacht in Rhode Island. He is having it renovated in Rhode Island. Renovation time estimated at two years. After the renovation is complete he was planning keeping the yacht in Rhode Island because he prefers Long Island Sound off of Rhode Island to the open waters of the North Atlantic off of Massachusetts. The only impropriety is the fact that as a Senator representing Massachusetts he should really register his boat there no matter where he plans on keeping it. The fact is that if all he was looking for was the cheapest tax rate he would be registering it in Maryland where most of the Yachts in the Country are registered. But you still have not explained what any of this has to do with American corporations moving their factories offshore to gain an income tax free status and firing thousands of American workers to do it. Do you support that kind of corporate behavior? Do you think that corporations has no loyalty to the Country they were born in and grew to mega corporations in. Do you think they should be able to move to other countries and still be able to trade here as if they were still an American company?

The last time I looked those were all part of America, except maybe Texas. They all pay taxes to America. Why are you trying to compare companies moving out of America to ones who move inside America. This is why it is impossible to talk to the Right. They constantly throw in completely irrelevant crap. There are also other reasons besides taxes companies move within America. Quality of living, access to ports and highways, proximity to market, availability of an educated and skilled work force all play a part when companies open in new locations within the Country.

Obama care is unconstitutional and he should be impeached. But how do you feel about large Corporations moving out of the Country? It is costing 90 trillion dollars a day. But how do you feel about large Corporations moving out of the Country? There are death panels deciding who lives. You must be smoking the cheap home-grown sh#t again,'cause I haven't mentioned any of those things.

Anyhoo, I think it sucks that businesses leave the country. However, can't really blame them when our government declares ware on them with crap legislation such as the Healthscam bill. And unless that bill is repealed, they will be a lot more pulling up anchor in the next couple of years.

Now, how come you feel it is okay for Democrats to evade taxes?

Texas pays taxes to America also, more than most! Maybe the quality of living is better due to low taxes and the job market provided by states that do NOT want big government intrusion. Most successful states have everything you have described, those that are suffering, do not!

Texas pay taxes. They get back about what they pay in. The states that get way less then they pay in are those Blue states. I was referring more to the attitude many Texans seem to be showing. Or maybe their statements are not intended to be a factual statements".
