Most disturbing is the fact that a candidate who wants to be the chief legal officer for the state has his own unresolved legal issues. He can try to blame it on politics, but he should have anticipated the accusations just as a trial lawyer must anticipate the other sides legal arguments. In his failure to properly prepare for his candidacy, he now comes to the race exposed to criticism. The failure to properly prepare is hardly a quality our Attorney General should possess. Mr. Sheldon's candidacy brings discredit to the office of AG and the Democratic Party.
