5 Whenever liberals question the intellect of a conservative, I smile in amusement. Whenever people here do it, I laugh out loud. |

2 How quickly those of you who voted for Carter/Mondale forget the absolutely horrendous mess they left for Reagan and Clinton to clean up. You, perhaps, should go back and reread that history book and beocme literate yourself |

3 What mess did Clinton clean up? He received a roaring economy (2000 GDP growth >3%) and handed off a recession that Congressional Democrats refused to address for two years. |

4 Actually, I voted for Carter/Mondale in 1976. Since then, I have written three letters to President Carter thanking him for converting me into a Republican. |

2 http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/03/24/polit... Environmental activist and former Vice President Al Gore plans to release a new book, "Our Choice," in November of 2009. The book will "answer the call" for "urgent action" on a "comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis," according to a press release. Gore hopes that the book will "unquestionably inspire and rally those ready to fight for solutions that were deemed impossible only a short time ago." He plans to lay out the conclusions he has reached after attending a number of "Solutions Summits" focused on the climate attended by policy experts, scientists and engineers. In keeping with the theme of sustainability, "Our Choice" will be printed by Rodale Inc. Publishers on 100% recycled paper with locally produced and sourced editions and low VOC inks; it will also be carbon neutral. The former vice president and his wife Tipper will donate all of the book’s proceeds to the Alliance for Climate Protection, as they did with their popular film, "An Inconvenient Truth." ********** Another book for the fiction shelf. Soon to be available at thrift shops everywhere. |

2 A Republican can write a book, woo-who! Just because someone writes a book, doesn't make it true. Republicant's keep saying WWII got us out of the great depression. We've had two wars going for a number of years, one would think the economy would be booming. But, we all know better than that. |

3 That is fact, the entire country was the Military Industrial Complex and were manufacturing all types of war materials. Jobs were created to maintain our troops in Europe and the Pacific. We threw everything we had at them Today, we limit the level of involvemnet in an effort to prevent collateral damages. The entire country is not invovled in war time manufacturing, different time, and situation, not even closely related |
