Senator Jeff Smith Pleads Guilty To Federal Charges, Resigns Office
Missouri state Sen. Jeff Smith of St. Louis has pleaded guilty to two federal counts of obstruction of justice tied to his failed 2004 congressional campaign, and announced he will resign from office, ending what was once thought to be a promising political career.

I saw a PBS video on Jeff,when he was running for senitor,I thought he was terrific and i waz very impressed. I think this is so sad but my gut still feels he is a good man and will do great things again. Look at his video, look at his record. His heart is in public service. God Bless you Jeff, i hope to see you in politics and in Washington some day. : D
