If early money is an indication, Missouri could have competitive races for nearly half of its U.S. House seats next year.

It will be interesting to see what special interests support which candidates. Lots more money will go to Republicans, probably, if the Supreme Court rules that corporate CEO's can use corporation money, out of their profits to support candidates. The law provides for individual comtributions, but bans contributions directly from the corporations themselves. The Court is ruining the McCain-Feingold law, provision after provision, so it will be easier for the rich to buy elections. At least Terry McAuliffe lost the Va. Democratic primary for Governor, so it does not always work!

The Missouri Senate race will be one of the most interesting in 2010.
