Lawmakers plead guilty in obstruction case, resign
Missouri state Sen. Jeff Smith pleaded guilty Tuesday to two federal counts of obstruction of justice tied to his failed 2004 congressional campaign and resigned, ending what was once thought to be a promising political career.

Typical corrupt politicians.
Myabe if the judge had some backbone and gave them the MAXIMUM sentence allowed by law, then that might send a message.
As it is, the wimpy judge will probably give all the criminals a slap on the wrist.
And just to show you I'm bi-partisan, Republican Governor Sanford may either resign or get impeached if he doesn't resign. Either way he shold go to prison for along time.
