It's sad that he killed himself but he made that decision. Thousands of legal Americans teens have committed suicide and that is sad, too. People that do this have felt hopeless. Feeling hopeless has nothing to do with legality of citizenship. The young man unfortunately felt hopelessness about ever becoming a US citizen. But again it was his choice. He could have returned to his native home and did it right. His death should not be used by pro immigration liberals to promote their cause. Our laws must be obeyed. It is our laws that have attracted people, we are fair. Everyone that comes here must come the right way and that's it. Pray that our leaders be benevolent and enforce our laws so this situation doesn't happen anymore. People should know that they must obey our laws first. No exceptions.

This should have never happened. He should have been allowed to enter college under the Dream Act.

Juan, why not explain to this child what a failure his ancestors are, and that all they have to offer their children is the hopes of stealing everthing away from what hard working Ameicans have built.

This boy's suicide is on the failure of his own people who cannot cultivate their own country, so they enter another and steal everything they can from those who worked hard to make their country work.

America has her own sob stories, go home to Mexico and face your own!

Then blame his parents.

I have read and commented on this story before. It was designed for uneducated people like yourself to fall prey to its twisted message.

This occurred in Texas. Texas has had the Dream Act on its books since 2004. He could have gone to college under the Texas Dream Act.

The Dream Act generally has certain requirements of the parents, like proof of residency AND paying taxes. I submit the possibility that the parents did not follow through on their obligations and requirements. No surprise there. Illegals don't like to follow rules. As a result of their own lack of interest, their son could not go to college.

So, "Juan", it's the parent's fault. Even with a Dream Act, as Texas has, the illegal invader parents still would not follow the rules, and still want to have the media publish this story hoping that people will feel guilty over their lack of attention and cooperation in this matter.

Sad for the child that his own parents were such lazy, law breakers.

He should have taken all of his family members with him first, then killed himself off. That way, when he is standing befor St Paul the the pearly gates,he can blame them for breaking the laws, and see if that cuts him any slack.

the 18 year old young "man" was defective otherwise he would not have taken his own life.

defective people of all ages do this, makes me wonder if his illegal family wrote the note to even exploit the youngster in his death as they do when they are alive when using them as pawns for their own personal gain.

Good point. Seems a bit fishy they turned over said letters without reading them, then asked if they mentioned his illegal status. A big Fish looms here.

All of you should just turn over your assets in Mexico to Our Govt. to be redistributed to Americans who can care for them. Obviously you and yours never consider the innocents you make. Never consider it is your Responsibility. You can't be held to the same level as civilized folk. You are obviously incapable of caring for yourselves, yet you keep breeding and leaving even more uncared for.No low you won't crawl, no child you won't exploit for your "free me" mentality.
If you had any courage or morality, your lives could change. But since you don't and it is also apparent, you can't be taught, you should just ask America to take over your land and rule. Dole out to you a pittance and then when you use that up, you have to fort up or else. There should be no special treatment to moral less idiots who can't contain their greed and lusts for what others make.
All you are is a dumb Sheep producing more dumb illiterate lambs to abandon onto America,
This makes you feel manly, where as a real Man would feel only shame and remorse. Not you and yours. Vampires that suck blood from their own offspring is not something I will ever cave in for..No matter how much you little moochers Lie. You have been given above and beyond, yet still you cannot stand on your own. Hopeless leeches that have to beg and cause division everywhere in your greed and inability to stand up like men. Chicken shits that won't change their COuntry, just blame everyone else for your lack of competence. You will rot in Hell Rico. A Hell you deserve.

All Native Americans are owed it,and that is by treaty.Illegals are not owed a thing except for deportations, executions, and having all they own, taken away from them.Deal with the facts Juan.

Rep. Ruben Hinojosa, D-Texas, in a speech to Congress on Dec. 1, said Luna "took his life because he believed that he would never be able to fulfill his dream of becoming an engineer, earning his citizenship and leading a full and prosperous life in America."

This almost comical! This shows the amount of desperation they have! This kid obviously had many problems. They have no shame...Oh, well, this really comes as no surprise, the families hide behind the children in order to get on welfare, etc., why not use a suicide of ONE person to advance a cause.

Good point on the family members. They mentioned that they how live in a nice home, etc. I wonder if they ever used anyone's ID or have a fraudlent home loan. Oh, hell, I wonder if the rest of his family are illegal aliens and the press is just too PC to follow through. I bet they are!

They are probably trying to figure out how to sue the federal government. All they have to do is come up with something, with this politicial climate, they are bound to win!

DUH! He got a 16% on the ACT. That puts him behind 79% of the population.

Does anyone here think he was smart enough to be an Engineer?
Or should we just give everyone a degree if they are Hispanic and want one?
