How pathetically irresponsible of these asshole right-wingers in congress… it took this President shaming them into doing their damn job.
The American people are sick of the tea-baggers and the spineless right-wing leadership hurting this nation, and I can’t wait for 2012 where we will give our re-elected President a strong Democratic House and Senate to get back to creating the jobs and improving the economy like they were doing before the GOP took the House of Representatives.

How optimistic these fools sound! After NAFTA, former light and heavy industry workers in this area were promised a ton of coal (whether they used coal for fuel or not) and free classes to learn a new skill subsidized by federal grants. A number of my husband's co-workers took advantage of the offer to metamorphasize into compuer whiz kids in six months or less.
Seventeen years later, none is working in the field for which their training was kindly supported by taxpayers whose heads would be on the block next. Not long ago, there was an article in our local newspaper that named the three colleges or universities within the city limits as the primary employers of "displaced workers." They are not sitting at desks, computing away; they are groundskeepers, kitchen help, janitors and general maintenance workers.
Many more have held jobs in the underground economy " all this time.
Clearing away the annoying detail of still more unemployment claims is simply to assuage guilty consciences because our government is selling us, bith literally and figuratively down the river, once again.
While our new, not exactly invited neighbors are making a family sustaining living from odd jobs, gardening and landscaping under the table, we foolish Americans continue to allow our paycheks to be appropriated to the point that WE are the biggest losers on the planet. To continue to allow this outright theft is folly because we are beating the carcass of a dead Clydesdale in an effort to restore a past lifestyle or to attain a better future for our cildren.
I am all for the "underground economy." The illegals have shown us how it's done and no one touches THEM! There is no reason that the rest of us, having been so financially crippled by the clowns in Washington, can't jump on the "undocumented" bamdwagon and keep what we earn. At least we know that it is spent as we see fit, not as our prodigal sons in Washington waste, self-indulge and attempt to acquire the trappings of royalty for their "service."
If they keep this up for a few years, there won't be a dime deposited in any personal bank accounts and business will be transacted in cash, man to man. Congress can sic the FBI on little old ladies who knit and crochet and don't report their earnings. Aren't they the heroes?

Read the article, meathead. You missed a part.

The Obama administration is behind the trade deals, which have been pending since the George W. Bush administration, but has said that Congress must at the same time act to extend expired sections of the four-decade-old program to assist workers hurt by foreign competition with financial and retraining aid.

"Pending since the Bush administration." Your messiah didn't begin this policy, as most of his policies started with Bush.

We'll really be able to move forward once we dump the socialists in 2012.

If Obama had any brains he would have proposed a solution and shown leadership instead of setting on his hands leaking remarks to the press. Nothing republicans propose is good enough but he won't propose nor the liberal leaders in congress. They don't want to be on record for being only for tax increases and the buying of votes. If republicans cave to this clown, their will be a third party and a country too far in the hole for it to do any good. Standard and Poors has already said that if 4 trillion is not cut, they will devalue the bond rating anyway. Cut, Cap and Balance is the only plan on the table that will do that. Obama and the liberal Senate yesterday condemed america by voting against the plan.

See the pattern?

The Neoconservatives, who call themselves Democrats and Republicans, have a new Script to act out showing differences where there are none in shafting the domestic labor again in favor of cheap foreign labor.

They are all globalists. And free trade has not worked. And in the background, while Bush was borrowing money for tax cuts, spending our money on war, and neglecting the infrastructure, we were losing more of our jobs. But all ran good as long as the problems were left in the background. The problem with the tax cuts is that they don't solve problems, and the tax cuts is just for the here and now and did nothing for our future. During that time the following was piling up. A housing crisis, an auto crisis, bank failures, deficits and debt, wars not paid for, infrastructure neglected, and globalization in which we did not prepare for.

Here is what they are doing today. The democrats are spending in the wrong areas, the republicans want more tax cuts above the Bush tax cuts, the fed is printing money for low interest rates and a low dollar so that we can export more with 1/3 manufacturing, and the states wants casinos for jobs. And it is not only 2 billion cheap laborers who are taking our jobs, but it is also automation and the loss of jobs, lean principles and the loss of jobs, and mergers and consolidation and more loss of jobs. And the middle class is still losing on wages and jobs. All too hilarious (sad).

The economists have been wrong for years. You have Veronique De Rugy, economist for George Mason Univ., saying on C span that it was okay to give up our jobs and that Wal Mart jobs were okay. You have William F. Cohen, former Clinton Defense Secretary, says we will trade more with India (Hilarious). And others saying similar stupid things and they have no idea how much damage is done and they have no answers. And they wonder why we cannot have an economic recovery..........

The dirty politicians have destroyed the manufacturing base that made America great.

The dirty politicians have sold you out while enriching themselves.

The dirty politicians have allowed the Illegal alien invasion to reign terror on what few jobs are left in America (the ones that could not be off-shored).

And the sheeple let it continue by electing the same dirty politicians.

The economy had already failed when Obama arrived. The Republicans are still pushing all of the exact same policies that caused it to fail.

Trade Act(s)to help displaced workers adjust have been around for almost 50 years. American jobs have been going to other countries that long.
