<quoted text> You say you know about the bible? yet the basic infor in the bible you got it all WRONG!!-Jesus's father is the the carpenter, jesus as far as we know is a work shy. Not your 9-5 man.
I know history and logic is wasted on people like yourself, but...in the time of Joseph and Jesus, it was tradition that the son would follow the steps of the father.

Since Jesus' entire life was about obedience in all that is right, it is a safe assumption that he learned the trade helping his father.

Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his ministry, so I would think he was a journeyman carpenter in his own right.

Judging by this, I think it is safe to assume you have never explored the bible on your own, much less accepted Jesus into your heart as your personal savior.
YellowPeril wrote:

Again, you show your prejudice and hate for "white people".

Fact is, your entire response is a reactionary emotional outburst (common among leftists) which offers nothing to prove me wrong. The closest you come is about Jesus being a carpenter.

You didn't even address 99% of what I said. Instead, in true leftist fashion (you folks are SOOOO predictable), you seized on one thing and did the old "When you can't refute the facts, attack and try to discredit the messenger" routine.

Even if I accept your belief that Jesus was not a carpenter, it does nothing to negate anything I said. Worse case scenario, Jesus, as the son of God, was the heir of all the blessings his Father had bestowed upon the Jews.

To say "Jesus lived off the good life given to him by the Jewish society." and "Jesus lived off whatever the Jewish society at that time could offer its citizens." is absolutely false. It implies he accepted "welfare" from the Jewish "government" or was supported by the upper crust of Jewish hierarchy. He did none of those things. He lived and ate simply, without even a home.

Indeed, it could be argued he fished with his disciples and helped them reap large enough hauls to feed thousands.

So, your attack is repelled. Your move, yellow.

you are right about Jesus ..He was a shepherd and not a carpenter. A shepherd is like a cow boy except that cows here are sheep .. a sheep boy
Amen
Hmmm, do you intend "a sheep boy" to be an insult? I doubt Jesus would think it was.

Regardless, the shepherd was a metaphor.

Thanks for bringing it up. I think it is relevant, considering the subject is atheistic communism...man trying to be god.

John 10:11-18 (King James Version)
11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12) But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13) The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15) As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17) Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18) No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Jesus lived off the good life given to him by the Jewish society. He for some reason wanted a new world order and set up his own teaching and recruited followers. He and his followers prevailed and lived on ...the Jews got killed and lost their fatherland, condemned to wander around the world for many many centuries......
Of course you knew all this ....
It seems I am going to have to address this, too. You are a perfect example of how badly communists need free people.

You portray Jesus as simply a person. Apparently your communist "education" included that abomination called "Liberation Theology", the lie that Jesus was the original communist revolutionary and violent revolution is blessed by God.

You said "Jesus lived off the good life given to him by the Jewish society." Jesus was a carpenter, he earned his living in a capitalist environment.

Now, addressing the rest of your allegations...the parts that REALLY shows you know nothing about the Bible. Jesus was the son of God, who came to die for man's sins.

Since God is all good, that, alone, means that all the "good life" the Jews had were blessings from God. Jesus is the rightful heir, so even if your view WERE at all correct - per our analogy - Jesus was a Dog, not a tick.

God is the source of all good (dog in our analogy), Jews were recipients of that good (ticks, in our analogy). Dogs don't need ticks, ticks need dogs. God doesn't need man, man needs God.

The reason the Jews ended up a counquered people without a home is because they rejected God and chose their rituals and traditions over God. The Jews condemned themselves by the choices they made.

If you knew the Bible, you would know that the Jews wanted Jesus to establish heaven on earth. They had expected him to lead the Jews to a violent overthrow of the Roman Empire.(As a communist, this should sound very familar to you.)

The Jewish leaders could not conceive a King who did not compromise with evil, one who would rather give up this temporary life thru faith that, in the end, love conquers hate - good conquers evil.

Indeed, going a step further - evil conquers itself, because it cannot produce anything...only destroy. So, in the end, the victory of evil is also the cause of it's death...no more dog for the parasite tick to drain of it's life blood.

Yet, to this day, people - religious and atheist - continue to try to create heaven on earth. From the social gospel - introduced to christianity by communists - to the Liberation Theology - also introduced to ignorant catholic peasents by communist catholics like the Maryknollers - to the Communists who promise Utopia, but only deliver hell on earth.

God lives in the individual, not the collective.

The force of positive energy is from the inside out. The force of negative energy is from the outside in.

The social gospel, liberation theology and Communism all teach that institutions are needed to change man from the outside in.

True Christianity teaches that man is changed on the inside, and changes the world by doing good from inside of himself outwards to the world...one person at a time.

Perhaps this will lead you to study the Bible for yourself, in the manner the Bible teaches...like a child. Perhaps you will put aside all biases and all you THINK you know, pray and open your heart - then read, trusting God will open your eyes, feed your heart and mind.- amen.

The catholics under the order of various Pope is responsible for 2000 years of violence, persecutions and blunders killing thousands and thousands of innocent people in the name of the Catholic religion and Jesus Christ.

Why are the Catholics responsible for 2000 years of violence, killings and persecution ???

The Crusades

Pope Urban II, anxious to assert Rome's authority in the east, sent a military expedition in 1095 to reconquer the holy land. The crusaders ravaged the countries they passed through and massacred the Muslim, Jewish and even Christian population of Jerusalem after capturing it in 1099. After 200 years of conflict Muslim armies drove them out for good, but the crusaders' symbol of the red cross remains provocative

The Inquisition

The attempt to combat suspected apostates, Jews and Muslims at the time of the Reformation spawned tribunals in Europe and the new world that tortured and executed thousands. Ecclesiastical queasiness about flowing blood led to the use of racks, thumbscrews and red-hot metal instead of blades; 2,000 people were burned at the stake during the tenure of Spain's first grand inquisitor, Tomas de Torquemada.

The Holocaust

Pope Pius XII never publicly condemned the Nazis' persecution of Jews, even when they were being rounded up and deported from Rome. His silence is partly blamed for the failure of Germany's Catholics to resist Hitler. Anti-Jewish Catholic doctrines such as the claim that the Jews murdered Christ were said to have ideologically underpinned nazism. Vatican officials allegedly helped Nazis escape Europe after the war.

Whom did the catholics kill ??
1/ Jews,
2/ heretics,
3/ women,
4/ Gypsies
5/ and native peoples.

All together, the Catholics have commited 7 different categories of sins.
What are they???
1/ sins in the service of truth;
2/ sins against Christian unity;
3/ against the Jews;
4/ against respect for love,
5/ peace and cultures;
6/ against the dignity of women and minorities;
7/ and against human rights.

President Bush has tried to make human rights a central part of his Asia policy. Republican lawmakers are urging Bush to press President Nguyen Minh Triet on Friday to make stronger efforts to stop what they describe as widespread abuse of Vietnam's citizens.

This is Bull . What about those who are 100% American . Hey Bush . Lets try spending some money here in the States and to heck with the other countries in this world . We have a lot for you to fix here .

Among the ways that "Poop" reveals himself as a mental case is the VC’s only hope of asserting that if any refugees from the communist regimes landed on USA must be here for food just like the Irish’s immigrant or the Mexican’s illegal immigrants who come here for jobs. Poop and allen, too, would model themselves as Vietnam patriots. Ha! This touchingly retro celebration of Triet and Dung latest visit to house is a cause celebre around the world, but actually it is only a 5 second blip on the news.

Not bad for a retro job on a communist dinosaur - plus an against-the-grain salute to the old war commie God did not make any sense. It makes a little beep on the news media screen, yet the commie_dian ‘Poop’ and his comrade ‘alien’ still try to milk it as much as they can for whatever it worth. Poop is good at milking since his days of working on the farm. Alien on another hand, Ho bless his heart, will try to spin some more with the statement from the lady inside PLT.

Will see how it goes, sometimes I envy their blind belief in a hopeless cause,‘Dumb and Dumber’ if you will. other time I pity them for their incapability of learning something news beside the false bravado from war past and the one-sided view of the whole 3 million Viet-Kieus in US.

Alexander VI (1492-1503)
http://www.cracked.com/article_15648_the-5-bi...

Any story you've ever heard about crooked popes started with this guy. He bought the papacy with four mule loads of silver. He nailed Rome's most eligible bachelorettes. He made his 17-year-old bastard son an archbishop. He started wars, poisoned cardinals and took their money, and probably ate live frogs while feeding people to the Rancor.

His greatest accomplishment--as a host if not as a pope--was the Banquet of Chestnuts held in 1501. This sounds nice enough until you learn that the chestnuts were merely a pretext to have a pack of naked hookers crawling around the ground collecting them. But that wasn't the evening's only nut-related activity. Trained observers were present to keep track of the total number and quality of the party-goers' ejaculations. That's exactly the kind of information you need when a bishopric comes open.
Alexander's death was followed by further hijinks. His ham-stuffed corpse couldn't fit in the coffin and began belching sulfur. His successor forbade anyone from saying prayers for his lardy soul. Finally, almost 400 years later, he was reborn as Aleister Crowley (at least that's what he said), who shocked the world by ... taking a lot of drugs and drawing naked pictures of himself.
