It's hard to raise money from people on food stamps and welfare. "Their base" Imagine how hard it is for them to hire employees, as democrats believe in trickle up economics.

Your good news is it's easy for Karl Rove and his ilk to raise money for their corporation-friendly conservatives.
Your bad news is they will be beholden to corporate interests. If you're counting on them to further a tea party agenda, prepare to be played.
