My nephew could not get health care because his parents policy could not help him since he is over 21. He had a medical issue that kept him from working. When Obamacare kicked in, he got on his parents plan and got medical care. The problem he had was dealt with and he got a full time job and returned to college at the same time to persue his degree in psychology (using a pell grant that Romney/ryan want to drop). He also got off food stamps and other public assitance and he is paying taxes and his life is on track again. The net net is for a small amount of medical help, this young man is no longer a drag on society and he is paying taxes at he local, state and federal level.

Do you understand what Obamacare really is? I doubt it. When asked what was in the thousands of pages of obamacare, Nancy " the genius" Pelosi said " we have to pass it so you can see what's in it".????????? What the hell is that supposed to mean seriously? You obviously haven't followed history very closely. Do you know what socialism is? Other Countries have the equivalent of obamacare and no one wants it. I don't care what Michael Moore says. Who pays for your open heart surgery under obamacare? The taxpayers pay for it. If you can refute it then be my guest. Nothing is free. Someone ALWAYS has to pay for it. How would it eliminate e.r. visits? Would the government provided Dr. make house calls? Barbara, you are ignorant if you think that socialized medicine would ever benefit Americans. People come to America to get away from countries ran by the government. We are the USA, a free republic. The government doesn't run our Country, the People run it. Obamacare will never happen my friend. Romney will kill it, and rightly so. I can't wait until November 6th.
Don't expect too much from Barb she isn't from New Hampshire she is from Mass, the bluest of the blue. She is surely voting for Sacajaliar to reclaim Teddys old seat.

You really think this forum is a bloody exercise in stupidity - you do not have friggen clue what's going on! Nancy Pelosi was mocking the republicans with her remark because they had refused to read the bill - what a f-ing idiot go learn something! And by the way, Romneycare is doing just fine, people like it in MA!
<quoted text>
Go ahead and believe what you'd like about Pelosi. You couldn't be more wrong. You're misinformed. Look at the history. The bill was passed in the wee hours of the morning by spineless democrats. Feinstien admitted that 90% of her office mail was agaist Obamacare. But the American people are just too stupid to know what's best for them. HA. It's ok though, it will come to a screeching halt come Nov. 6th. No one ever answered my question.... If you had to have surgery, who would pay for it? Are you responsible for the bill, or am I? I already know the answer. You need to get a clue son.

second - why was her being black relevant enough to say - when you were trying to say she was a stupid moocher.
your undestanding of the affordable care act and economics is totally lacking.
the insurance mandate is a way to make sure people pay THEIR own way
medicare is not being gutted - republican lie.
there are not plenty of programs for indigent care - this helps fix the problem
It save money and lives in the short and long term.
You not my dad. He was not an idiot.
Yes he has in fact gutted Medicare. How does it save money? Again I will ask WHO PAYS FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE? Governmental insurance no matter how you try to slice and dice it is welfare. I, the taxpayer foot the bill. Ok to your first question, I made an observation of exactly what I saw. She was black yesterday, and she's still black today. I didn't call her a moocher. She probably is if she voted for Obama. The greatest majority of blacks think America owes them. Just the facts. I never owned a black, and don't owe .........(Oh you're gonna run with this one ) "you people" anything. So politically incorrect I know. Anyway, you say fox isn't a real news program. Really. It's funny that they're at the tip top of the ratings daily. And your poor pitiful msnbc is scraping the bottom just above HLN. Don't take my word for it. Fact check me on it. Come Nov 6th the Obama's will be evicted, and maybe then he can get some private sector experience. Romney will repeal Obamacare. That's good stuff right there.

Did Romney gain ground? I hope not. He's missing the bulk of things that make life possible on this earth. To him, it's all about money. Human life would be seriously in jeopardy if people like him ran things.

Come Nov. 6th we will be free from the antichrist. What "bulk" of things is he missing? Care to elaborate? How would human life be in jeopardy exactly? Just curious.

well the min thing is that Romney has given no thought to how the health of the planet is directly related to the success of human life. The north and south poles are melting at an unpresented rate. Weather around the world is acting really wierd. I'd vote for a republican if he/she just gave a crap about the environment. It's a huge part of the equation. Romney speech indicated he has a very narrow one track mindset. MONEY is not going to do us much good if we're choking and dying from bad air and non-potable water.

Sorry I even asked. I didn't realize you'd been hanging out with Al Gore. You do realize that Gore is driven around in stretch limos and huge SUV's ? You do know that, right? And I'm pretty sure his jet isn't a hybrid. If you don't have a job and can't afford to buy groceries, the last thing you're going to be concerned with is how many polar bears are hungry today. I don't know, seems like starving to death kind of one ups uv rays potentially giving me skin cancer. Just a thought.

I didn't mention Al Gore because it's totally irrelenvent. Doesn't much pertain to this argument. Short term gain is more important than long term prosperity to you isn't it. As a matter of fact not starving to death is one of the purposes of my post. It's part of the equation that Romney doesn't get.

John I'm trying to get a point across here. Millions of Americans are out of work. For the most powerful man in the world to have a real solution is a priority. EVERYTHING else has to wait. People ARE going to bed hungry by no fault of their own. They need someone who knows how to grow an economy. Mitt Romney has a proven track record at doing just that. Obama has no experience at running a business. That's all I'm saying.

JKD, Like I said, I'd vote for a republican if he/she gave a crap about the environment. I'm all for fiscal responsibilty. It's very important and I just think we can have both fiscal responsibility and environmental responsibility. In the long run we can't survive without both. Romney is just half right and he hasn't a clue about the other half.

Yes, research on the Republiscum Brain reveal that Republiscums are afraid of the new, are afraid of the other and, when shown facts, they double down on ignorance and superstition.

They are the tribe afraid to move out of the caves because, you know, the world ends on the other side of the trees.

Nonsense. The idiotically childish budget of that economic crank Ryan would increase the deficit by $5 Trillion. It is pure Republiscum blather as it has been since the utter nonsense of Alzheimer Reagan.

Reagan turned the USA from the world's largest creditor into the world's largest debtor.

Bumya Bush took a full employment economy on track to pay off the National Debt by 2010-11 and demolished it into losing 850,000 jobs per month, embroiled in $3 Trillion of off budget wars and in the worst Recession since the Great Depression.

Forget that 4 years ago Paulson was screaming for $700B in a three page memo so that the banking system wouldn't melt down?

Everyone has forgotten that because, under Obama, the USA has bounced back from those dark Republiscum days of utter stupidity and ineptitude. Ryan/Romney is nothing but Bush on Steroids, the utter destruction of the US economy by a bunch of immature lunatics.
