Can you please provide a link? Everywhere I have seen stated that the plant closed in December 2008 which GM announced in October 2008.
Actually it was June.

"The announcement by then-GM president Rick Wagoner that Janesville would be one of three plants to close came at a meeting of shareholders in early June 2008, according to a Chicago Tribune report at the time."

I am sure if Obama(that is how you spell it, not obummer)knew how much republicans were going to obstruct everything, he would have done a few things different in his first two years.
I will give Ryan credit as he is very serious about the budget, but he is not an economist. The economy is a very complex system. Many economist have agreed that balancing the budget in a responsible that includes increases in revenue and cuts in spending in a plan such as Simpson-Bowles. Ryan was on the debt Commision that said that Obama didn't take the recommendations from the Commision. Ryan is the one that rejected the Simpson-Bowles plan. Ryan rejected the plan because in contained tax increases. We continue to see that Grover Norquist is more important than doing what is right for the country.
You;re correct in that Paul Ryan is not an economist, but he does have a degree in economics, unlike Obummer and Dufus Biden who have political science degrees.I would much prefer someone in office who actually has a degree in economics instead of someone who probably can't spell economics.

My theory continues. Reporters, whether TV or print, are trained to do just that, report. Ed did it occur to you to ask about the lies Ryan has been talking about all across America? Did you ask about the Janesville GM plant that he said President Obama closed? Did you ask about the decimating cuts to Medicare that are included in his budget, that will turn Medicare into a voucher program?
And we found out on Friday that Paul Ryan was present with a group of Repuglicans who met in a tavern not 2 miles from the Capitol on the night of Obama's inauguration. These treacherous plotters violated the trust of the majority of the American People who voted for the new President. They, including Eric Cantor, Newt and others, agreed to stymy any plan that President Obama proposed, even if it would help American workers, veterans or small businesses. Mitch Mc Connell vowed to limit Obama to one term by stopping any legislation that would benefit him politically.
And the Repuglicans proceeded to to stop the new President, even at the expense of the American people.

That ladies and gentlemen is your Republican Party. Leaders that are liars and deceitful. And care more about their ideology than you, T-Baggers included.
Romney, Ryan,,Allen, Cantor, Hurt, and Eastwood; the saviors of the GOP. Sad, really sad.

He really did believe in not spending more than you bring in under Bush when he voted for the Prescription Drug Plan, both wars, Auto Bail Out, Tarp, and then cut taxes to help pay for it.
Blame Bush, Blame Bush! That's all Obama is about and has been about for four years. I guess you liberals can't discuss your god's (Obama) record. When unemployment went from 8.2% to 8.3% god himself (Obama) said his plan was working the way he wants it to. What is Obama's goal? 10%? 20% unemployment. You don't want to discuss the $16 trillion in debt. You don't want to talk about two failed stimulus packages which went to Obama's supporters and businesses like Solyndra. You won't talk about how Obama used tax payer money to waste on green energy companies which 100% of those who took money are bankrupt now

Yet you liberals continue to worship this moron like he is a god. What a bunch of sheep! I guess it's Bush's fault that you can't think for yourselves. GOOD LITTLE SHEEP!!!!!! BAH! BAH! BAH!

You don't get my point. I was not discussing Bush. Conservatives argue how fiscally responsible Paul Ryan claims to be, but his previous voting record under Bush proved to be the opposite.

It's interesting that you cite Solyndra, whose loans were guaranteed by a program that was started by he who shall not be named (rhymes with Busch) or Obama can't accept 100% of the blame.

From your link,"But the Bush administration never approved Solyndra's loan, saying the application needed more work."

And yes, Obummer is 100% to blame because his administration approved the loan.

Bush gave Halibuton over $200 BILLION in no contract bids and with Cheney having been the CEO of Halibuton, his stocks in Halibuton tripled in value when he gave Halibuton all those war contracts. There were over 100,000 subcontractors in Iraq, they said Iraq is the place to make money now, not the U.S. All those rich folks who own those war companies saw their incomes increase by 450 percent. Donald Rumsfeld owns tons of stocks in drug companies, so when Bush gave seniors all free meds and sent free AIDS meds to Africa, Rumseld's stocks skyrocketed in value. I did not vote for Obama. I am not a Dem. But for god's sake our country collapsed in total when Bush was in office and everything he did was a crony capitalist deal for himself and for his rich buddies. How do you think the rich ended up that rich after 8 years of Bush being in office? You are spoon fed that ONE story for 3 years now about one half of one billion was wasted on Solyndra. Open your eyes for god sake. All of those politicians in both parties have been cutting deals with lobbyists for decades, they have been doing deals for their rich buddies for decades, and the war in Iraq was almost a trillion in crony capitalism. Don't let people on Fox ignore all of it and keep telling you one story over and over for years now. If they had any other stories of crony capitalism to tell you, they would have done it years ago.

50,000 businesses moved to China from the U.S. between 2000-2008, and so the Repubs did not mention Bush ONE time during the convention. They try to pretend Obama had something to do with the jobs having gone to China. Trump is honest about it. He says Bush was so bad, that's why we got Obama. This idea that Fox TV is your answer, that your fight is just hate on people, just blame one party, you are losing your country over fighting the wrong fight. You should ahve supported Ron Paul and stood up to Sean Hannity when he attacked Ron Paul unfairly because Hannity wants more profits from a war in Iran. Those people are war profiteers, and when they do crony capitalism, it's in the trillions not half of one billion. Bush gave Exxon and BP control of the oil in Iraq and today they sell the oil to China. We paid for it, we get nothing out of it, and the rich get huge government contracts to rebuild Iraq. And, don't think Cheney and Hannity do not own stocks in BP and in Exxon. When we invaded Iraq, one-tenth of the world's remaining oil is in Iraq, now Exxon has it, so Hannity's stocks in Exxon soared when we invaded Iraq. Now they want to invade Iran for the oil and make trillions more on war contracts and on their oil stocks. Why isn't Fox every taking about the big, huge crony capitalism?? Because it's the Repubs who do the really, really big stuff.

Romney wants a war with Iran. This nation is broke and it has been in two wars for ten years. We need a third war right now?? Really??? We can't throw money away on anything other than 3 wars??? Really?? the only places we want to invade have most of the remaining oil in the world and no one notices?? WTF??

Bush created more regulations than any other president and he tripled the size of the Dept. of Education, and, I got that information out of Glenn Beck's book, "Broke." Even Beck describes Bush as the worst president we ever had. Don't you people ever read any of Beck's books???? He wrote in two of his books we must end Social Security and Medicare. You people parrot Fox but you never parrot the part about how bad Bush really was and about having to end your socialist security and your government Medicare. Oh no, you want trillions in socialism and you want other people to not live off of the government so you all can do so.

Bush tripled the size of the Dept. of Education to create No Child Left Behind which his family owns the testing company for that program. You talk about huge, huge crony capitalism, that is all Bush did. Wake up people. You know nothing so you think Solyndra is the first and only time a politician did crony capitalism. Get a clue already.

If it wasn't for Fox TV selling these people this sh!t, everyone would have supported Ron Paul, told the rich media elites to go to hell and taken control of the nation themselves. You don't have a revolution by letting billionaires on TV tell you to elect one party. You have a revolution by getting rid of both parties and holding both parties feet to the fire, by electing Ron Paul and cutting out both parties spending, by the people telling the politicians and the media what to think, not by the media elites running the elections and the country and starting more wars.

You people are letting 3-4 rich people on Fox try to start a war in Iran on this nation, you are letting 3-4 billionaires control the outcome of the elections of this country, set the tax policies. Can't you be the adults and take control of the policies of the country and take control of the elections away from a few rich folks on TV and have some liberty and some rights for yourselves??
