Paul reminds me of Gilligan and he often refers to me as Captain. I feel quite confident when I'm steering the ship knowing my first mate is doing his job beneath me at the bottom.
It is always good to have an extremely skilled mate beneath you when your feeling the waves move underneath you.
I'll never forget the first time he said to me "Why do they refer to you as Mitt?"
I bent over and replied "Pauly wanna cracker?"
He did so with gusto and we've been together ever since.

What TOTAL BS! Obama and his lapdog media had more anger about Romney than they did the butchers in Egypt who JUST KILLED AMERICANS. Meanwhile, where is this failure of a President? Doing what he does best: Campaigning. The President who has had more campaign fundraisers in one term than the last FIVE PRESIDENTS COMBINED is busy campaigning in Vegas, appearing with Limp the Pimp and on Letterman.

The Obama administration's weakness and continued APOLOGIES are being noticed worldwide while we witness a repeat of the failed Jimmy Carter soft diplomacy and Tehran. How fitting during the week of 9/11 that Americans are attacked by the Muslim brotherhood--the group the White House loves, hosts and has given taxpayer $$ to.

Kerry didn't fight shyte. The men who served with made that clear. He turned himself in for medals he didn't win. He went four months, thinking that would be enough for glory. When he saw the war was unpopular, he joined Hanoi Jane to gain popularity. He's a fkn phoney glory seeking two faced histrionic personality disorder. Period.
Bushies timing of his "volunteering" is about equal to you offering to drive a tank to Saddams palace gate. Today. How brave!

The training for an "interceptor" role Bush flew is vastly different than the "fighter bomber" missions Bush might have been trained for in Viet Nam, since presumably he wouldn't be interested in logistics flying of transports or refueling. His F 102 type aircraft was only used very briefly in Viet Nam in an operation called "Palace Alert" and was found inappropriate to the missions there as it could not drop bombs. Bush's assigned unit, the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, had as its primary mission attacking slow Soviet bombers inbound on nuke missions to the US. The F-102 was a "widowmaker" with lots of crashes. The formal reports on his performance show Bush was an excellent pilot on a difficult plane.

But that does not mean he was an ideal candidate for retention and retraining to become a hot jock over Vietnam as the war was winding down and there was already an excess of pilots. And nothing written shows any interest on Bush's part to stay in the service longer than his service obligation at the time. The controversy over his taking the medical exams raised by Mapes and others was caused precisely because Bush didn't bother to take them, not because he was "AWOL" (Terry McCauliffe), but because he wanted to get out of the service and go to B school and could have cared less about losing his flight status. None of which the press (with zero military experience these days) understood anymore than they understood the holes in Kerry's "record" any veteran could see plain as day.

*()_)(*_+<><<-____ ___

Romney’s reaction to the violence in the Middle East (for example, Egypt and Libya), is not the issue and is not viewed as “severe”.

It is right, suitable and proper.

Because caring of the interests concerning, it is proper as usual for Romney to do so criticizing , that Obama is in the wrong stand as he does not make much difference--in doing the the right thing of many situations.

There is nothing for Romney to say to any, if they don't think so by calling severe because that is business as usual for Romney in public eyes.

Romney is not only the candidate for presidency, he must do so for all people, has every right to criticize Obama's failed position, so that matters are not further be ruined by Obama when he becomes the next president.

The general public must fully know the stand too.

You're as full of crap as the LA sewer system boy.
Operation Palace alert was to use the F-102 in an escort role for the Thunderchiefs, who WERE fighter bombers but no agile enough to face the new Migs. Bush and another pilot didn't have the required 500 hours flight time for combat required by the Air Force. He continued to fly training missions and weather experiments. He was never AWOL, proven by several news agencies including USA Today. His records are there. Palace Alert was later cancelled due to performance of the F-4 Phantom which could fullfill both roles.
On Friday, a retired officer with the Alabama Air National Guard told CNN that he witnessed Bush serving his weekend duty in 1972 -- an account that could be significant given the persistent Democratic questions.
Speaking Friday from Daytona Beach, Florida, John B. "Bill" Calhoun said he commanded Bush and that Bush attended four to six weekend drills at Dannelly Field in Montgomery. He said Bush was with the 187th Tactical Reconnaissance Group in Alabama in 1972.
The drills consisted of eight-hour shifts Saturdays and Sundays, Calhoun said.
"We didn't have the planes that he could fly," Calhoun said. "But he studied his manuals, he read flying safety regulations, accident reports -- things pilots do quite often when they are not getting ready to fly or if they don't have other duties."
http://edition.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/02/13...
Bush received special treatment to get into the Texas Air National Guard.......Headlines 2004
Ben Barnes, a Democrat Party supporter, was the former Speaker of the Texas House and former Lieutenant Governor of the state of Texas. According to his daughter, who spoke to a Dallas radio show shortly after the story was aired, Barnes lied about helping Bush get into the Guard. She claimed his motivations were "to gain publicity for a book he is writing" and "the desperation of the Kerry campaign at this moment in time." Proof Kerry was a pathetic liar and prima donna.
Gen. Rose, Barnes' contact, at the time. According to Staudt, "Mr. Bush got in because he was willing to undertake the yearlong training and time-consuming duty as a pilot" and not because of any political influence.
The physical that Bush missed was required to continue flying. It was not required to remain in the Guard. At the time, Bush missed the physical because his assignment in Alabama didn't require flying. Bush was trained on the F-102. The Alabama Guard unit he was temporarily assigned to was transitioning to a new plane that Bush wasn't trained on. His home Guard unit was also transitioning to a new fighter jet, and, according to the men who flew with him it would have made no sense to have trained on a plane he would never have flown
Master Sgt.(Ret.) James Copeland remembers seeing Bush twice; once when he and Calhoun came to Copeland's office with a question about Bush's pay and once at the base canteen where Bush was "drinking coffee or a soft drink."
James Anderson, a base physician, recalls giving Bush a physical in 1972

One thing to remember. Intelligence (CIA) officers are normal staffing of all embassies and most consulates. Use of these people still in country would not require a separate finding. And CIA does more than special operations; it’s main purpose is intelligence gathering.

There is the presumption that the mission was “preparing the battlefield”. That presumption most likely is wrong.

Contacts with opposition leaders can include political (diplomatic) and military discussions. And both can be conducted by any assigned State Department or CIA personnel (the Ambassador to Egypt was responsible for contacting opposition groups during the Egyptian revolution).

I’m much more curious in the domestic media manipulation, office politics or partisan politics motives?

US had 48 hours notice of Benghazi attack, did nothing?

London's Daily Independent is reporting that the United States knew 48 hours before the attack on its consulate in Benghazi, Libya... and did nothing (Hat Tip: Riehl World View).
American officials believe the attack was planned, but Chris Stevens had been back in the country only a short while and the details of his visit to Benghazi, where he and his staff died, were meant to be confidential.

...

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.

Mr Stevens had been on a visit to Germany, Austria and Sweden and had just returned to Libya when the Benghazi trip took place with the US embassy's security staff deciding that the trip could be undertaken safely.

Eight Americans, some from the military, were wounded in the attack which claimed the lives of Mr Stevens, Sean Smith, an information officer, and two US Marines. All staff from Benghazi have now been moved to the capital, Tripoli, and those whose work is deemed to be non-essential may be flown out of Libya.

In the meantime a Marine Corps FAST Anti-Terrorism Reaction Team has already arrived in the country from a base in Spain and other personnel are believed to be on the way. Additional units have been put on standby to move to other states where their presence may be needed in the outbreak of anti-American fury triggered by publicity about a film which demeaned the Prophet Mohamed.
What's worse is that some very important papers are apparently missing.
Sensitive documents have gone missing from the consulate in Benghazi and the supposedly secret location of the "safe house" in the city, where the staff had retreated, came under sustained mortar attack. Other such refuges across the country are no longer deemed "safe".

Some of the missing papers from the consulate are said to list names of Libyans who are working with Americans, putting them potentially at risk from extremist groups, while some of the other documents are said to relate to oil contracts.
The Obama administration is denying this story (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
Shawn Turner, spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, emailed:“This is absolutely wrong. We are not aware of any actionable intelligence indicating that an attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi was planned or imminent.”
I don't believe that anyone in the Obama administration really knows what's going on any more, and I don't believe they can be trusted to tell the truth even if they did?

You can believe the aspiring politician.
I'll believe the Air Force Colonel
On Aug. 1, 1972, Lt. Bush was suspended from flying status, due to failure to accomplish his annual medical examination. That document was released years ago. But another document has not been seen until now. It's a memo that Col. Jerry Killian put in his own file that same day. It says "on this date, I ordered that 1st Lt. Bush be suspended not just for failing to take a physical….but for failing to perform to U.S. Air Force/Texas Air National Guard standards."
In a memo from Aug. 18, 1973, Col. Killian says Col. Buck Staudt, the man in charge of the Texas Air National Guard, is putting on pressure to "sugar coat" the evaluation of Lt. Bush. Staudt, a longtime supporter of the Bush family, would not do an interview.
The memo continues, with Killian saying, "I'm having trouble running interference and doing my job."

"Power begets power. Power goes to power to get more power. If you have a little bit of power and someone offers you an opportunity to gain more power by doing power a favor, then this is what power does. It trades on itself. It feeds on itself. This is the way the system worked. This is the way the state government worked. This is the way the Guard worked."
~Robert Strong, a friend and colleague of Col. Killian who ran the Texas Air National Guard administrative office in the Vietnam era.
