I almost spit my coffee out this morning. Turns out republicans now want to change the electoral college and the way people vote. I guess since they got beat at their own game they want to change the rules.(how convenient) It doesn't matter to me because I always thought the electoral college was flawed anyway. One person, One vote.(aka popular vote) I say.
(Fox News) From Wisconsin to Pennsylvania, Republicans who control legislatures in states that supported President Barack Obama are considering changing laws that give the winner of a state's popular vote all of its Electoral College votes, too. They instead want Electoral College votes to be divided proportionally, a move that could transform the way the country elects its president." hahahah if you can't win fairly, just fix the game. lol
In other ironic news..(CNN)-- At least five people -- three in North Carolina, one in Indiana and one in Ohio -- were injured after weapons went off at gun shows Saturday, officials said, at a time when there's been renewed discussion about private gun sales at such shows.: GOOD GRIEF..HOW EMBARRASING. Gosh, another 15 year old boy blows away his family in NM. If someone in that family circle say that they didn't see anything like that comimg because he was such a good boy, they should be stripped naked and tared and feathered. Things like that just don't happen over night, that kid was ate up from the getgo and no one wanted to deal with it. Or they wanted to hide it. The teaching of that phony idea that everyone is special, there are no losers, your somebody, and there are only winners in America, is pure bullshit. America needs a real reality check, because there are more losers than winners always has been and always will be. Until you all start teaching and demanding responsability from children, and a hell of a lot for adults also, things like that will never end. DAMN GOOD POST!

I'm so tired of hearing there are no losers only winners. If there is a winner there has to be a loser. Liberal logic defies any common sense. Contrary to popular belief we are not all equal. There are rich, there are poor, there are smart, there are dumb, etc etc. Liberals love to see the world through rose colered glasses.

btw Did anyone notice that he mentioned all minority groups during the innaguration? I also noticed the mlk type delivery. sigh

Time for political comedic releif:

CNN)-- A 5-year-old girl chats up classmates while waiting for the bus after school. The topic: Playing with a Hello Kitty "bubble gun" that, with the flick of a finger, blows bubbles everywhere.

"I'll shoot you, you shoot me, and we'll all play together," the kindergartner says.

The next day, that remark -- which was made innocently, according to the lawyer for the girl's family, who related the story -- landed the young central Pennsylvanian child in the principal's office. "

To make a long story short she was first charged with making "terroristic threats". It was downgraded to a suspension.

Wow..is all I can say. A 5 year old doesn't even know what a gun is no less what happened in Newtown. It's friggin Kindergarten.

Liberals on the loose.

*note..she was sent to the school psychologist who determined she was no threat to herself or others. I'm wondering if the school psychologist examined the stupid teachers and principal which deemed this little girl with a pink bubble gun a threat?

Idiots, just plain idiots sitting as educators in America. I will bet you that they are all over weight and dress like they just left a gypsy caravan in Maceadonia and are liberal socialist.

PS. The Indonesians just sentened a 54 year old Brit woman to death for smuggling dope into the country. Of course she didn't know it was wrong. At least those muslims got it right on that point.

Which is worse, IO, a "lobby" consisting of millions of

or a President who believes he can, by Executive Order,

If govt of a nation(s) is corrupted do you support mens to bare arms, and carry assault weapons for protection?
If nation provide prosperity to its people and provision to stand for world stability and need is there still a need for the majority to bare bare arms

The operative word here is "IF", but it just so happens that this nation is not squeeky clean and there is no world stability provided by this nation any longer. The right to bear arms as I see it is to keep the government somewhat in line with the constitition. Do not for a second believe that Americans are afraid to take up arm against a false and corrupt government and the politicians in Washington are aware of the fact. Hence the need for them to try to control the general population with bullshit laws. Laws that will be broken faster than they can enact them. So to answer your question, yes there is a need.

Unless you are a Muslim woman living in Yemen
I suspect you'll always have the right to bare arms.

More seriously, IO, do you believe it is the responsibility of
a nation to "provide prosperity to its people" or do you belive
it is the responsibility/obligation of the government to get
the hell out of the way.

I for one do not believe it is the responsibility of the
government to "provide prosperity" to me or to my children.
That is it MY responsibility and THEIR responsibility. I
don't want to be beholden to ANY government for prosperity.
I will take responsibility for myself and my children will
do the same, thank you. I'm sorry if you can't say the
same for yourself or your family. That's a personal problem,
not the responsibility of government OR my responsibility
... tax-wise ... to you. Get your head out of your butt and
your hands off the keyboard and get your hands to work.
Stop being a person who blames and begin to be a person who
takes on the reins of personal responsibility for yourself.

The word "Constitution" is no longer operative. The
"law" is whatever they choose to make it.

As for me, when my 2nd amendment is abridged I will
report all my personal weapons stolen .... even those
I needed to use today to put down suffering livestock.

I didn't need an assault weapon to do the job, but I
will hold my government responsible for all pain and
suffering and will be damned to do anything more than
I have already done to comply with existing law.

Next time I'll call someone in government to come out
and put down my suffering livestock.

Total BS, Bill
You will NOT allow a government bureaucrat on your property to do your job, especially if they want to use a weapon. PUHLEASE

"Hi, I am from the bureau of Domestic Projectiles, which one of these cows is suffering ?"

All this talk of guns has created an economic stimulus for the gun manufacturers, complete with wink and nod from the NRA. Smoke and mirrors

Gun control is like abortion, brought out to hide what is really happening knowing it will captivate the audience. Meanwhile, back at the ranch..........the consolidation continues.

An idea......Lets stop paying pensions for veterans and give them an IOU payable is ten years to offset our economic ills.....any thoughts ?
Any war veteran caught protesting will be shot on sight....

Let me remind us of one very important fact - Federal prohibitions have never worked, they are incompetent. If they prohibited guns one thing we know for sure, they will fail......miserably. The fear is that the feds will make guns a "civil right".
